Nice place to enjoy and relax. Outside and inside seating available. Very traditional Japanese cuisine with reasonable prices. Very highly recommended.

Dined here last night. We were a bit reluctant to go in as there were no other diners, but we're glad we took a chance. Food was fantastic especially the agedashi tofu. We also ordered a couple of sushi items and the chicken teriyaki. Cheap dinner option if you're time poor and the food you get for the price is really good value for money. We couldn't understand why the place was empty.

Only ever got takeaway from here. The food is okay, but the portions are small. Not sure if it's the freshest sashimi around either.

I can not fault this restaurant. My boyfriend and I go to others and we just don't get the same service or value for money. We love it and every time we go we get the same value for our money. Thanks for such a lovely atmosphere.

I work nearby and I enjoy going here for a treat with my colleagues. I tend to have the same dishes as they are always great, Agedashi Tofu or Teriyaki Fish Set, but have tried the sushi and tempura and these are lovely too. The staff are always friendly and if you are in a rush, there is no problem as they are very efficient in bringing out the meals, even when there is a group of 6 or more.

Reasonable Japanese to be had here, as a 'replacement' to the old Yummy Square. The lunch sets are quite decent-tasting, I had the fish set. Other people in the group enjoyed their meals too.

As others have said below the restaurant isn't too well attended, probably because of the number of the competition, but that means the service is reasonable (not too many people to deal with)!

This place has good value for money and the food is pretty good (ask for the mayo on the side as they tend to put a lot on some dishes). There is no ambience, we were the only two customers there the whole time but for a mid-week meal it's great for a quick bite. It is BYO for beer and wine, pick up a couple of Asahi's at the Kogarah Tavern bottleshop before you go (no corkage).

The ice cream is excellent, green tea and black sesame, same as we had in Japan and only about $3 a serve... yum!

Note: They only take cash.

I have ate here too many times, I'm a bit addicted! Food is great value (set main meal is around $10) and taste delicious! The restaurant itself if a bit plain not much of a japanese feel to it but the food makes up for what the ambience lacks! I will return again and again and again for sure.
