The tea is great! It took so so long to get it though. I have been three times and its only when I can spare another ten minutes or more in comparison to a normal coffee store. The food selection is what I would expect from a normal cafe and is quite nice. Service at counter is average and stupid fold out menu is retarded.

Wow, how disappointing. T2 seem to have a Tea monopoly but I would say if you search around you will see how much this place, their tea, the service fall short. I love my tea but this made me sad - Tip:: Zensation Tea house on Bourke St Surry Hills is worth the journey.

I adore this place for its interior decoration and the fantastic tea it houses. However, I was appalled by the service from the rude staff, who hardly acknowledged my presence when ordering, not only could they not look me in the eye when ordering but went on to burn my sour dough (to the point that I initially thought it might have been dark rye) and when I complained they were not impressed and acted as though I had done something wrong. Maybe next time I will just get take away.

Just went to T2 today with my hubby. We quite often visit them for just their tea, often looking at the amazing looking High Tea's on other peoples tables. We decided to get the Le Grande Dame High Tea, when we ordered it, the woman said, you know thats a savoury tea, thinking she was talking about hubby's tea choice, we said ok.

The High Tea arrived, $40 included 7 dry and stale finger sandwhiches, 4 mini capsicum quiche and 3 scones (and 2 teas). I went up to question where the sweet pastries were, and the waitress said "I explained to the man that there were 2 plates of savouries". No, you said, "Its a savoury tea" ... how does that explain the food At All. And savouries are completely different to what we got. $40 should buy you more than sandwhices, expecially when you are not even at top High Tea establishment.

My suggestion is to go there for a pot of tea, but steer clear of the food unless you want to be robbed.

This place is an oasis in Macquarie Centre. It has quickly become our favourite for morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch. The Ultimate Chai is the best you could get in Sydney. The salads are tasty and generous. The sweets are heavenly and delicious. Come by on a weekend and you'll be seeing us and all the other regulars at T2.

In the souless wasteland that is Macquarie Shopping Centre this tea house is a magical oasis. The (hot) teas are superb, an entire booklet of choice awaits. The cakes/sweets can vary a little too much in terms of quality: sometimes perfectly delicious, at other times cloyingly sweet and mediocre. I have never had savoury food here, so cannot offer an assessment. Go for the astonishing array of quality teas and the convivial ambience.

I have had the pleasure of having High Tea all over the world. I have to rate Teahouses up there with the best. It was definitely the best value for money. Teahouse has quickly become my favourite place to be.

Been there thrice, attracted by their weird orientalist decor. That was a mistake.
Each time their teas were awful. Stay away.

Had a high tea here, was perrrrfect and the settings is just beautiful, real moroccan style. Definitely a place to go and take someone to impress them. You get to choose two different teas with your high tea and even the cups are just exquisite. A definite must do!

Lovely atmosphere, a range of seating options, comfortable. You don't feel rushed. The tea selection is varied and comprehensive, and the teacups and pots are beautiful. The decor and lighting is quite dark, with highlights of red. Delicious sweets, making it perfect for afternoon tea. You don't feel like you're in a shopping centre. I've become a regular.
