My husband and I dined here on a sunday night, and the service was fantastic. As it was our first time trying vietnamese cuisine, we decided to have the $88 tasting menu. I loved everything on the menu and thats saying a lot, as I don't usually eat pork or squid! The chilli salted squid was to die for. The seasoning was amazing and together with the white pepper sauce made such a beautiful dish.
The other stand out was the Mussels in coconut sauce so delicious I wanted more! Overall, I definitely would come back again as we had a great experience.

This place is a great value Vietnamese addition to Eastwood's dining scene. They do their noodle soups well, have some interesting meats on the menu like crocodile which is surprisingly quite delicious but steer clear of their ricepaper rolls, they're not that great compared to the rest of the menu.

Its quite hilarious to get screamed at when you are asked if you want chilli on your roll. Hands down the best chicken roll in Sydney (the lines to get served are testament to this), some days though are better than others in terms of freshness. If you order a spring roll expect a bag of dripping hot oil.

This is my favourite Vietnamese restaurant and I have to travel from the north shore! I adore the signature Viet pork and prawn roll entrée, unmissable and the cubed beef and they have the best vegetarian or BBQ pork fried rice that I have ever had. It is deliciously light and flavoursome without colouring the rice with oil, so it is wonderfully colourful with either choice of ingredients but still lovely and fluffy.
Best tofu ever in the vegetable tofu mix, my vegetarian friend said that it taste so good! Love you and your food thanks.

Not the best pork rolls I've had but their bread roll is definitely really good. Spring rolls are worth trying too.

Possibly one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. Read the Terry Durack review and wanted to try ever since. Could have chosen anything on the menu but we mostly stuck to the tapas style bites menu and wow did we have a feast?!
The grilled quail was the best quail I've ever eaten, so incredibly full of flavour, the snails in coconut curry sublime and the beautiful soup with fish balls a perfect palate cleanser to end on.
The decor is gorgeous, the service friendly and welcoming and all in all this is one place we'll be returning to again and again. Can't wait to try more from the menu.

Is this place run buy chinese people? Doesn't matter, I only had the pork chop rice which is below the standards you would associate if you ate at Cabramatta but at least they gave me 2 pork chops! Ambience wise it feels a little old, food came out at a reasonable time and the prices are fair. Need to come back to give this place a proper review.

Don't try anything else, the Pho at Naughty Chef is fabulous. Unlike some restaurants, you never feel like you have consumed 1kg of Msg and lie awake half the night. The food is fresh, crisp flavours and really tastes like home cooked broth. Proper noodle soup is hard to come by, Naughty Chef has done well.

I don't like giving bad reviews, but the food here was the worse Vietnamese I've ever had, and in fact if they didn't advertise it as vietnamese I wouldn't even call it Vietnamese food. It was very, very bland.
Service was good and fast and attentive, and I'd like to rate the service and ambience higher but I don't want my overall rating to be high. Sorry guys. But having a restaurant on King St where there are heaps of other restaurants to compete with your going to have to pull up your socks.

Really enjoyed this place. Tried it on a Sunday night, when it wasn't too busy (only about 4 tables).
We were pleasantly surprised. It's clean and bright and a pleasant ambience, but not overly flash. A cut above a takeaway and below a lavish sit-down restaurant experience. The staff were very attentive, and helpful but not overbearing. I liked this very much.
But the standout here was the food, the Green Papaya Salad was delicious, as was the Vietnamese Chicken Curry, and the Chili and Lemongrass Beef. Servings were generous and it was exceptionally good value for money!
The only thing that was a little bit of a disappointment was the pork and prawn omelette. It wasn't bad, it was just a little average in flavour.
But overall, exceptionally good. We will be back, and we're not usually from the Marrickville area!

The food is actually, fairly good vietmamese for the area. But the service is so shocking and rude, I would give it a negative rating if I could. The restaurant looks ok, but you can't sit comfortably in the right spaces, and having the staff sweep with up dust and rubbish on chairs next to you with the big brooms, is far from hygienic. The tea cups have stains and bits of food stuck on them.
Prices are relatively Not cheap compared to other Vietnamese in the area or other areas either. That would be justified if they provided slightly better service, but they don't. So I don't think there's much value there either.

Great place for some fresh and quick vietnamese food. Went to the one in regent's place last night which is pretty cool as they have ipod and macbook chargers as well! Service is quick and friendly. I defo rate the steamed prawn and scallop dumplings as well as the beef vermicelli salad. It's a cheap and healthy alternative to the junk food around that end of town.

Ordered for beef noodle and beef ball soup and requested for the beef to be cooked as due to pregnancy and not able to eat raw meet, but was served raw beef noodle soup and then when I told them that I requested for the beef to be cooked, they brought it back to the kitchen and came back with the dish with the beef still raw and asked if its ok. I said its still raw and they said you can take it out if you don't like it raw!
Seriously, what is the point in requesting in the first place. As if I don't think the beef tastes nicer raw. Also asked for the been sprouts to be cooked and they took the basket back, took out the bean sprouts and never came back with any bean sprouts and then told me that it's nicer with raw bean sprouts! It's really not that difficult. The food here is really so so but it's a convenient local restaurant. Never going back there again.

What a difference to the other eating houses at Faifield RSL. Had yum cha here the other Saturday and were very disappointed. Service was ordinary as we had to keep asking for the waitress to bring the trolley around (of which there were only 2). Soft drinks that were served were very small glasses filled with way too much ice and hardly any soft drink. We asked for a side serving of fresh chilli with soy sauce which we never got.
The scallop dumpling was the only thing that was good, we couldn't eat the pork as it tasted funny and full of bones and the siu mai was overcooked and tasted only of pork.
Lastly we had spring rolls and when the waitress brought them out she stood there talking to another waitress holding the plate of spring rolls only 10-15cm from her face for about 5 minutes, well we didn't really feel like eating after watching that.
Ambience would have been ok but the lights kept going out and we were left in darkness to eat, top it of over $40 for 6 very average dishes. Never again!

Located away from the main restaurant hub in Crows Nest, this place is more of a destination and after our first experience here, we'll be making it just that. Run by a Vietnamese family and simply decorated, I knew we'd be in for authentic Vietnamese food which was just what we got. The crispy skin chicken with rice noodle soup was enjoyable, with the chicken perfectly cooked, and the soup broth amazing.
The combination vermicelli was rated even better than the place we usually go to in Chatswood. The value for such simple, authentic Vietnamese food is great, well designed menu with just enough choice across all types of food. We'll definitely be back.
