My wife and I popped for lunch after a movie @ the Ritz this afternoon. From the specials board we both chose the Beef Daube Pie with Chocolate Mousse for $16. The menu had the price @ $20. The waiter, a very polite young French fellow, was surprised that the board was so wrong and he appropriately charged us the $16.
The pie was 'homemade' and pretty good albeit the meat a bit dry, but I didn't mind that too much. It came with a green salad dressed with a good quality balsamic vinegar. However, the mousse appeared to be a little old being thick and dry on top. It tasted Ok. The coffee was not as good as it should have been. However, it was a nice place to sit on a sunny afternoon.
Overall, our experience didn't convince us to return for an evening meal.

Excellent place to have a mid-week lunchtime meal. The food is exceptional and done just right, and the chicken parma I had had a lot of extra stuff as well not just the chicken. Will be back again if I have mid-week leave that's for sure! The service is also great, note it is not open on weekends though.

Stopped in here for a late sunday lunch. Were very lucky to get a seat inside as a couple had just left, otherwise there was a wait for inside.
We got our orders in pretty quick and service was friendly. Food came in adequate time and it was really good. Seafood pizza which was simple yet very tasty and the saganaki prawns which were also fresh, plump and full of flavour. We choose the nutella pizza for dessert which was great, smothered in nutella!
Overall there was a real buzz here and it showed with the food. Seems a great little place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This place is awesome! Me and by boyfriend have been loyal customers since the beginning in the smaller cafe a few doors down so we we're very excited to find out the big space on the corner would be opening as the larger and improved Espresso Organica. Its so much more spacious than the first cafe and a great place to meet with family and friends over a great coffee or a lovely meal.
My boyfriend finds the coffee to be one of the best in Sydney. He always raves about the double macchiato which is always done perfect, layers and everything. I'm not a coffee drinker, due to health issues but never miss out as there are plenty of drink options on the menu. I usually tend to go for the herbal teas which are wonderful loose leaf infusions. There are so many to choose from.
It's not just the great coffee's that keep us coming back, the food here is no ordinary cafe food. It's Mediterranean fresh, flavoursome dishes, made from scratch which we can't resist coming back for. Dishes like prawn saganaki, souvlaki and halloumi mezze are some of our favorites. Only wish they also did gluten free pizzas as their wood fired pizzas smell and look and divine. Hopefully one day.
As for the service sure the cafe has grown, they are always busy, and the staff are always on the go serving customers. However, we have found they have always been warm and friendly and try get everyone seated as quick as possible. The smell of coffee and buzzy atmosphere helps keep us patient when we drop by last minute.
We are fortunate to live locally and enjoy Espresso Organica on a regular basis, however, even if you're not from the area book a table and give Sunday breakfast of lunch a try, you will not be disappointed. We recommend it to all lovers of coffee and glorious food!
Response from Management:
We are so grateful by your comments, your favorable review means a lot to us and we are truly very humbled.
When we first expanded our business, we were swamped by one review reviewers some of them very Deceptive. It’s wonderful and so encouraging to read your kind words about our service, food and coffee.
It’s such a confidence booster and great feeling to be recognised for our efforts to provide only the best for our customers. I am so pleased and humbled that you boyfriend rates our coffee as one of Sydney’s best. I know he will be pleased and justified to know that after the recognition we got from The Sydney Morning Herald Every Day Eats Guide 2012, rating our food and coffee among Sydney’s best, we got another recognition this time from The Good Cafe Guide 2012 out in June, recognising us among Sydney’s best as well. The bar is lifted very high now and we constantly try our utmost not to disappoint our customers especially regular and loyal like yourselves.
Thank you very much.
Your kind words are a credit to our team.

Best things here are the service, friendly vibe and tasty food choices, lunch meals are more creative that found at many cafes. Ingredients are very fresh. Quick service, no mix ups. I always have the salmon salad - yum! It's so nice I can't be tempted with anything else. The only negative thing I can say about it is about other customers' kids. Last time I was there, there was a nappy wearing kid sitting on top of a table! Yuk! but not the fault of this great cafe. Oh and it can be hard to snag a seat.

I used to go to this place when they were at their old location.
Now they have moved to a bigger venue and I feel as though they can't keep up with demand. Their staff are rude and they don't even take notice of you when you first arrive. The only thing going for this place now is the food.
I will never return again unless they hire staff who actually care about serving their customers.
Response from Management:
I am pleased to hear you liked our food and you rate it as exceptionally good.
It’s true that since we moved to new and bigger premises, 4 months ago, the queues are endless. We must be doing something right.
Maybe the way we running our floor is a little bit deferent from your everyday café and that is to keep up with the demand, as you correctly stated yourself. Only our floor manager greets customers at the door next to the sign “please wait to be seated” and seats every customer. Our waiters are very busy serving at the tables, that doesn’t mean they are necessarily rude. If every wait staff was to stop and greet customers at the door, our service would be chaotic and the queues would be even longer.
Our staff are always very polite, obliging and they do care very much.
Thank you again for your patronage and we are hoping to see you again soon.
I am very sorry that I have to defend our hard working staff.
Fake reviews are especially rampant in the café/restaurant industry. When a good review surfaces from a REAL customer, you will suddenly see a flood of bad reviews all within a couple of days to push down the good review. I like to think that is just a coincidence. It happens time after time and doesn’t make any sense, completely opposed opinions and most of the time it’s not very hard to pick up clues about deception. We listen to what every reviewer has to say. We are not perfect, but we strive to get better and provide our customers with better service all the time.
Thank you very much we appreciate your feedback.

Have eaten here a few times now for breakfast and lunch. The baked eggs are yum and the calamari was very fresh and large serving. The baklava french toast was a way too heavy on the honey in my opinion and I am a sugar freak but otherwise overall the service is always good and the food is great. A good option in Concord.
Response from Management:
Thank you very much for your kind and generous words.

We are so please you enjoyed our Greek style calamari and our chorizo cannellini beans baked eggs, both dishes are very popular. I already spoke with our chefs to take it easy with the honey on our baklava French toast :)

I'll give it to you straight with the bad news first. The coffee is not amazing. Burnt is an understatement, but that depends on the barista on duty. The ice cream is simply out of place, very low quality, which is surprising because the desserts are top class.
The creme brulee was a standout having the perfect consistency and flavour, the pizza was hit out of the park, if they can make a plain margherita as well as that I can only salivate at the other options available. The ambience is great, all the more reason to return with friends.
Response from Management:
I read your review & score with simple gratefulness it’s such a confidence booster and great feeling to be recognised for the ambience and interior as much as the food we serve.
It’s wonderful to hear that you were impressed with our crème brulee and our margherita pizza that shows you are really a true connoisseur. Our pastry chef Lawrence comes from Radisson Blu hotel Dubai and our master pizza maker is the pioneer of the pizza industry in Australia, Reno Lattanzio, the ex-owner and pizza-maker extraordinaire from La Disfida Haberfield :) All pizzas with Italian mozzarella di Bufala.
I recommend you ask for our signature pizza “Napoleons Hat” next time you come in.

Your very constructive comments about the barista on duty and the ice cream we served have been taken on board and appreciated. We promise, when you return, you will see an improvement, we already spoke to our ice-cream supplier and our head barista already started a refreshing extraction course with our night baristas.
I am so grateful, humbled and encouraged but also praying that we never slip and disappoint diners like yourself.
Thank you very much.

I came in one day and ordered a toasted ham, cheese and artichoke sandwich for takeaway and the lady at the front charged me $12 (not even the Hilton charges that), I was stunned but paid and left. I thought about it for many hours later and I was livid that I had paid that amount so the next day I rang and complained and was told I was actually overcharged but what upset me the most was the lady at the front taking the orders actually had to think what to charge me, not happy jan but I would return as I think Tom is a nice guy.
Response from Management:
We remember you!
The soy late lady!
That was weeks ago and you ordered ham cheese and artichokes sandwich that is not in our menu or in our P.O.S. system. We only have double smoked ham and cheddar cheese toasted s/w in our menu for breakfast at $9.00.
My better half Sophia charged you $4 extra for the artichokes instead of $3. She served you with your special request and she had to think how much to charge you extra for the Italian artichokes, it is very confusing sometimes with special requests if they are not in our menu or in our P.O.S system.
By the way Susie, at the Hilton if it’s not in the menu they will not make it :)
I know!! Because I am an ex Hilton chef and our floor manager who took your phone call the next day is an ex Hilton food and beverages manager :)
We are so sorry for our mistake that was truly not intentional.
We really appreciate your feedback and thank you for your patronage.

The food was nice enough, however, the service was very poor. The table was missing cutlery and the linens weren't clean. The tea was served warm instead of hot, probably because the staff members weren't interested and seemed be talking to each other instead of serving their customers. We were very disappointed and felt we had wasted money and quality time, we will go else where in future.

Had breakfast here, shared a cooked breakfast and a Bircher muesli, both pretty tasty. Coffee very nice and ambience great, quite a large place and very bustling. Only thing we didn't love was that they won't put 2 people on a table for Three or four, even tho their table for four are tiny. To be fair, after they said we'd have to wait 15 minutes he ended up feeling a little sorry for us and gave us one of the free tables for 3 after a short wait.
Response from Management:

I am honored! And I appreciate such high score from you. Reading your other reviews, you have dined in some really reputable establishments but still scored us very highly. I am so grateful and encouraged.
Weekends are getting very busy and things are getting a little hectic especially in cold winter days when is too cold to seat customers outside. We try to manage our tables as wise and effective as possible to accommodate and please as many loyal and new customers indoors. We are hoping to have an outdoor cover for our outdoor seating soon.
Your favorable review means a lot to us, and we are truly very humbled by your comments.

Been here a few times, love their seafood platter, very good pizza, decent servings and lovely waiters. I quite enjoy this place as a local eatery with quite reasonable prices. I don't even mind the senior staff who bolts herself down at the cash register and never moves! all night long there she stands, hope she gets some r and r to enjoy it!

Sad to read these reviews as this cafe should work! My 3 experiences of eating here have all had order mixups, delays or no shows and once I was served an off fruit juice. When I questioned it I was made to feel like there was something wrong with me, not the drink! I do like the coffee here and hope that the service improves and then I will be back (at present I avoid the cafe as there are many other better choices in the area).

Very arrogant staff. Been there many times, but recently was the last time I will set foot into the cafe.
Food is good but not worth the attitude that you get. You don't feel like a valued customer at all. Booked a table for 4 people 1 week in advance and got seated on a table for 2 with one of my friends being 38 weeks pregnant and obviously ready to pop. Asked the waiter if he could move us to another table for 4 which was empty and he said "No" abruptly. Other people kept bumping into us all evening and all 4 plates could not fit onto the table at once.
Response from Management:
We appreciate your feedback and please to hear you liked our food. I can assure you all our bookings get first preferences on tables, if we are fully booked which is the case most of the times, our valued walk in customers have the choice to seat on what is available. Our floor staff is very polite and obliging to every reasonable and human possible request. Thank you again for your patronage and hoping to see you again I will do my best to help remedy your experience.

The tea is great! It took so so long to get it though. I have been three times and its only when I can spare another ten minutes or more in comparison to a normal coffee store. The food selection is what I would expect from a normal cafe and is quite nice. Service at counter is average and stupid fold out menu is retarded.

Usually a really great to eat but I went there tonight and waited 15 minutes for a table and got seated near the door. We asked a waiter if we could move to the table behind us and he said we could. But the senior staff came over to us and yelled at us "can't you read the sign this table is reserved" before we could even speak. The last person you expect to be rude is the senior staff of the cafe. Big disappointment. Cheeky Chocolate in North Strathfield for the win!
Response from Management:
Thank you for your good comment about our food.
I want to apologize for your negative experience and personally promise we are listening and striving to resolve any issues. As you can understand if you have to wait 15 minutes for a table it means that’s the only table available, as much as we value and try to please every customer sometimes we can only do what is humanly possible.

My partner and I come here at least once a month and love it. The serving sizes are amazing value for money, and are simply delicious. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a decent meal, this is the place. I haven't tried their hot coffees, but their iced and frappe range is a good strength. They don't have a vego/vegan menu, but there are plenty of those kinds of specialty cafes out there if that's what you're looking for. Hearty meals and perfect service is what has me coming back.
They also offer range deli style condiments for sale to take home with you!
