Spotted in our local paper that the chefs from Shangri la Chiang Mai were over for a special Thai food promotion, so popped in for lunch today. Very welcoming staff into a lovely, bright buffet room (very 5 star hotel, so nothing original, but not dated or tired). Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the buffet was varied and good value at $48.00.

Loved all the salads, thought the chef had made a nice balance between satisfying those diners who like an authentic level of spice, and those who prefer it milder. Really enjoyed all the hot dishes, especially the beef massaman, the green curry, the tom kah gai and the chilli mussels.

All in all a delightful experience (even for my father who doesn't like thai food).

The food was great, tasty and good value. The Sheesha Garden (courtyard) was not appealing as the fluro lighting was very bright and harsh. With the right lighting it would be a much nicer environment.

I would say one of the best restaurants Harris Park has to offer. The Food all the way to Service had little to nothing to complain about. I went with some of my co workers after one of our major deals had finalised to have some celebratory drinks and authentic Indian food. The greeting prompt, as soon as we walked to the front door there was a waiter ready to greet us, who gladly opened the door for us to walk in.

With the pleasantries completed we were Asked where we'd prefer to sit and dine, not just shoved in some corner to be forgotten. As soon as we previewed the menu, and decided to order the waiter was ready, some of my co workers were non Indian and the waiter have a vast knowledge of the food and how it could be completed with condiments.

After the order was taken, a man from the bar comes to ask for drinks, his knowledge again extensive as well as the array of alcoholic beverages they had from you local VB to a Top Shelf Margerita. We all ordered cocktails which were beautifully garnished and one of the best I've had.

The food came out in good time, the longer it takes the better it should be right? 'Im telling you the entrees (Chicken Tandoori, Fish Tikka, Seekh Kebab, Prawns Tandoori) were worth every single minute for which we had to wait. I felt like I was in India again. In due time the entree plates were removed and the perfectly timed main course had arrived. The presentation of the curries, I must say one of the best in Harris Park.

You could literally see the richness of the food gleaming at you. As we dug in, I could taste the aromas and masalas used delicately to provide the sensations of hot and spicy. What can I say about the naan bread. Perfect. The most even, thin and crispy naan I have ever eaten, just the way I like it.

After we had devoured ourselves silly, we were stuffed. We would've loved to try the Kulfis and Faludas which Chutney had to offer, but I had to leave something for next time. Also tells alot about the portion size of their curries and condiments. Large.

Gladly I had asked the waiter to give the Owner and Chef a thumbs up and that we had a lovely time. To my amazement the Chef walked out and personally thanked me. Wow a first in an Indian Restaurant in Harris Park.

The exciting plesantaries were dealt with and I was on my way home. An experience of a lifetime. If by now you haven't understood what to do I'll say it. Go to Chutneys!

Mixed review for this one. Started with the Bharwan Mushrooms which were divine, and I've been tempted to come back just for them. However, for the main, I felt incredibly let down by their prawns which were remarkably tasteless. (Literally, I remarked all night about it, wondering how it would even be possible to take All the flavour out of a prawn).

That said, the curry sauce was nice, and my partner very much enjoyed his dish (the Handi – La – Jawab), so that brought their score back up a bit. Might go back, but would avoid any seafood dishes.

Excellent service although it was very quiet for a friday night. From what they told us Saturday is the big night with entertainment and atmosphere. It seems very dated inside and could do with a bit of an update.

The food was pretty good, contantly bringing out good quality cuts of meat as well as adequate sides. Only reall dissapointmant was proabably the lame desserts.

At $50 all you can eat it was pretty good value and we made the most of it. The real standout here was the friendly service to go with the decent food.

What a hidden gem this restaurant is. Had the pleasure of dining here on Thursday night after purchasing a voucher off one of the internet sites and so pleased I did.

The food was alot better cooked and presented than alot of restaurants I have been to in the City. A chef that actually knows what a semi rear steak is, such a pleasure to eat. As for the desserts well the senses both visual and taste were sent into overload. Many thanks for a meal to remember will be returning again and maybe even on a night when there is a floorshow on.

Very good value. I went on a Tuesday for my anniversary, and they had a promotion for lobster. The oyster and prawns are fresh and you can eat as much as you want. The hot food was average but the dessert was to die for. I had a bit of everything and my favourite was the bread pudding and tiramisu.

This is the worst buffet I ever had. Oyster not fresh, balmain bugs are Blue, prawns head are black, cooked food can tell is been reheated and heated, I only ate breads and chocolate cake! My friend recommended me and I took eight people there and felt so bad and I have to buy macdonald after for them as we are not full at all. I would never recommend anyone to go there. Star city is good price and Sheraton on the park for the quality food but not four point, I am furious.

My wife and I popped for lunch after a movie @ the Ritz this afternoon. From the specials board we both chose the Beef Daube Pie with Chocolate Mousse for $16. The menu had the price @ $20. The waiter, a very polite young French fellow, was surprised that the board was so wrong and he appropriately charged us the $16.

The pie was 'homemade' and pretty good albeit the meat a bit dry, but I didn't mind that too much. It came with a green salad dressed with a good quality balsamic vinegar. However, the mousse appeared to be a little old being thick and dry on top. It tasted Ok. The coffee was not as good as it should have been. However, it was a nice place to sit on a sunny afternoon.

Overall, our experience didn't convince us to return for an evening meal.

We ate on the restaurant wednesday night. We order john dory fillet and wagyu beef.

We get bread with olive oil as starter. The bread was ok. We finish it and the main meal arrive. The waitress did not take the bread plate. We finish the main meal and no waitress came to pick up all the dirty plate and bring the dessert menu.

After more than 10 minutes, we call one of the waitress to clear our table from dirty plate and bring the dessert menu. We order bombe alaska for dessert.

The food: john dory fillet was good, it worthy the price. The wagyu beef not as we expected. Many restaurant have better wagyu with cheaper price. The bombe alaska actually very good, it was the highlight of the night.

One more negative aspect was the paper tablecloth. I could not believe such high class restaurant use paper tablecloth. This restaurant should not have paper tablecloth.

Overall it was good experience, but we expected more from the restaurant with such high price menu.

I was Very disappointed last night with my meal from Glass Brasserie. I ordered a steak and frites ($43) and it was no better than a steak at a pub would have cost $10-$20. The girls I was with had tapas and they too were quite disappointed. We paid over $40 each for very average food. I think we paid for the three waiters to bring us pub grub.

Don't know what a lot of people expect from a thai dining experience, the service is poor but the food is excellent. Great flavours, great atmosphere and very well priced.

Came with a group of 4, BYO which is excellent and cheap corkage. Stayed all night, enjoyed the food and will be back. Pork belly was superb, if a little spicey!

I had a full Australian breakfast buffet with my boy friend last Sunday morning. The buffet is great. Love the carrot shot and the hot food section (omelette and waffles).

The buffet includes amazing selection of yoghurts (Yalla), cold meats, cheeses, cereals (included Whisk and Pin), Asian section, pastries and different other items. Lots of choices and great quality.

We also try the signature dish, and it tastes so good. The smoked salmon is house smoked. And we love the dish. Their coffee is using single origin coffee bean. Great coffee. The service is polite and very attentive.

This is the best hotel breakfast I have ever tasted and I will definitely go back. Maybe next time with my family or friends.

This was our first time back at Glass for a number of years, and we were inspired to return after seeing Luke Mangan cook with Heston Blumenthal a few weeks ago.

We had a very up and down experience. The food was great, however, the service left a lot to be desired.

We began by ordering two of the tapas items instead of an item off the standard entree menu. When our servings arrived, the table began to be set up by the wait staff as if we were going to have all the tapas items - something which we mentioned about 3-4 times before another waitress rushed over and informed them that the remainder of the tapas items were for another table. The servings were delicious, so the food certainly saved the service.

Then when they were clearing one of the adjacent tables, all the items were dropped on the floor in one almighty crash, sending food fragments splattering all over the floor and surrounding furnishings, narrowly missing us (by mere millimetres).

Out came the main course, which was enjoyed by us both immensely. The food was fantastic. The Wagyu fillet was immaculate, with the truffle jus subtle, but present. The silver dory (market fish for the day) was full of flavour and obviously fresh, flaked beautifully, but if anything was just taken a smidgen too far. Seasoning was good on both dishes.

What was disturbing about the main course experience was that both adjacent tables to us were occupied during the time we were enjoying our main course, and the proximity of the tables was such that when the wait staff were taking orders, their presence was physically encroaching on our intimate space.

This was highlighted by three factors, the constant bumping of my chair by staff, we both felt claustrophobic when there was a member of the wait staff at both adjacent tables at once, boxing us in with their posteriers, and thirdly, we struck up conversation with the adjacent table about their meals and felt as if we were one dining party.

Dessert was a delight, marred only by the assumption my wife was having the chocolate dish, so they were set down incorrectly, and the length of time it took to clear our table.

We felt that the service could have been better, maybe it was just an off night for the wait staff, but they certainly need to do something about the spacing of the tables.

We will probably not return for a similar period as the last gap between visits, a couple of years.

We ordered veg briyani and few other mains. The veg briyani was horrible, no salt n too much of other spices.

Service is also not good, after we mentioned that the food didn't look fresh, we were told bluntly. "Other customers like it". In total horrible food n service.

Where do I start. We went for a birthday dinner and left very disappointed. $35 for a jug of watered down Sangria is disgraceful! A Brazilian restaurant that has an tv screen blurting MTV channel rather than atmospheric Brazilian music.

The service was very inconsistent, other tables were receiving more service and food than ours and it was only upon request that we got more attention. The food was very salty. The only good thing was the company on our table and when we finally got out of there! We won't be going back.

Response from Management:
Where do you start ?? Maybe the Place where you work because everything you have stated is BS, you have never dined here, we dont have MTV and our food isn't Salty & our Sangria is $35 !!!!

We Will be tracing your IP Address

Ordered a Med/rare steak. I could not even chew one piece it was so tough. I tried to cut/then chew but gave up. I question if it was reheated in the microwave. When I told staff they didn't care. Total waste of money as left hungry.
