My favourite Korean restaurant! Although the seafood in the seafood pancakes has shrunk over the past few years, but the crust is still the best in Sydney! I must order their crispy rice seafood hotpot every time I go there too. Price, ambience and service is typical Korean restaurant standard, nothing to complain about. They might want to be more generous on their side dish though.

I've been there several times. For all of my visits, I waited 15 minutes to be seated. Anyway the chicken w chilli and the prawns are always amazing. Value can be cheaper.

Good food in an average setting at a reasonable price. However, a truly astonishing moment spotlighted the cashier's nonchalance/sheer lack of manners, in not managing to say thank you when we paid the bill. That pathetic incident is enough to prevent us returning. Dear Management - please ensure all staff familiarise themselves with proper etiquette.

Introduced by a friend two years ago. Didn't like the place at first because you need to wait for a long time. During the last two months, I think I went and dine in there once a weeks. Now I'm addicted. Chicken and chili in hot sizzling dish, together with seafood spicy soup perfect combination. Cost less than $30 enough for me and my love one.
Service is just okay. Of course I didn't expect a fine dining at Madang. Go there if you want good korean food.

My friends rave about this place so my family came here early for dinner and it was already busy with diners. Service is efficient as there is a buzzer/bell service and food comes out relatively quickly but I found it average. The seafood pancake was crispy but the batter had too much flour and not enough seafood. The hot pot bimbimbup was your typical one you get in Korean restaurants. Price is good and when we stepped out there was a massive queue of diners waiting for a table.

First off I would like to say that this restaurant is notorious for its waiting queues. Be prepare if you want to dine here.
The service here is mostly polite, friendly and prompts (thanks to the bell service at the table).
Madang have a wide range of food on offer on their menu, which cater from the mild taster or the chilli craver. I like their seafood pancake which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The soft tofu seafood soup pot was particularly good. It is spicy yet retains the sweetness from the seafood. Other place can have the soup too spicy or too salty.
We were seated outside, although it was covered the cold wind seep through the bottom of the cover and made my entire dining experience very uncomfortable.
One last major fault is the use of disposable wooden chopstick. I can understand take away, sushi trains or food court disposable chopstick usage. However, for a proper restaurant to present disposable chopstick is utter insult.

Lovely food. Tried a lot of different things, and everything was delicious. Had to sit next o the kitchen, so not the greatest ambience. Great value for money for the amount of food we had. Expect to pay $25 per head for entree/main and drink.

Expect to wait for a table, as this place hidden in an alley along pitt st does get pretty busy and understandably so. I came with a friend and only tried their Pork belly dish wrapped with lettuce and other korean condiments, had that couple with some sake and soju and had a great night. Surprisingly filling considering we only had one dish, and make sure to try some of their alcohol. Paid $68 for two, with the pork belly dish costing about $28 and the rest on alcohol.

All in all, not a bad little late night Korean BBQ restaurant. Have been here a couple of times now and both times the food has been incredible (although due to BBQ user fault, some bits came out quite burnt). The 2nd time I have been here it was a very last minute, walk by, lets go in at 1100 pm, ahh the beauty of finding something open at this time, oh and caters for smokers.

Food is really good! Best korean food in Sydney. But service is one of the worst. But those spicy pork is so damn tasty that I'm going to go back to this restaurant even the service is bad.
