Came here on a weeknight, and the place was abuzz with customers, mainly young couples and families. On first impressions, I was struck by the decor which, I soon found, suited the modern-japanese sushi dishes.

With the condiments, I like how they provided a choice of your conventional pre-packaged wasabi packets and your 'fresh' wasabi in a metal tin. The fresh wasabi definitely complements the sushi better.

As for the sushi itself, there was plenty of choice and the chefs regularly update the conveyor belt with customer requests and popular dishes. Saw alot of aburi sushi (grilled mayo) salmon sushi which melted in our mouths. However, the 'must-eat' dish in my opinion was the grilled salmon, tempura prawn with mayonnaise, topped with a slice of strawberry. Such an interesting fusion that worked well. However, this dish is only available on Thurs (as they have a different 'signature dish' each night)

Also tried their 'made-to-order' dishes such as the King Fish Carpaccio which I had first tasted at Tokonama in Surry Hills. SushiGoi re-creates the dish in their own way (had a slice of chilli on top with shreds of red radish on the top and doused with a generous serving of ponzu sauce). Def recommend for the fish lovers, esp at the price of $7.50 for 5 pieces!)
Also tried their seafood tempura ($7.50) which had 2 prawns, fish, and some vegetables. Serving portions were generous.

Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back (to try their desserts which also looked very appealing!). A new and exciting addition to the Coogee scene!

Went once with a voucher and once without. Food is always fresh. Service is always prompt and friendly. With the voucher it was fabulously priced, without, it was as expected. Would definitely go again.

I've been to Sushigoi a few times and it never fails to disappoint, beautiful food, nice service and great value! Try their flame-grilled scallop sushi, it melts in your mouth and is just so good.

I love this place. I have been to other sushi trains in Bondi and Maroubra and they are nowhere near as fresh and tasty as Sushigoi.

The staff are always friendly and are happy to make up fresh any of the menu that is not on the train. Even if it is on the train they will still make it fresh for you if you ask. It is quite busy, have never had to line up but I can imagine if you are with a group this might be a problem. Going there again tonight to introduce more people to the place. We all love it!

I love this place and probably eat here twice a week. All dishes are very fresh and tasty, just prepared and I go home feeling full and healthy. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, perfect for a quiet dinner with one other. Not ideal for large groups as the in-line seating is not conducive to multiple conversations. Excellent value. The best casual dinner in Coogee.
