I always go here for a lunch break whenever I'm in the area and in need of a sushi fix. Polite staff and comfortable ambience, either booths that have access to the conveyor belt or stools. The sushi is often a small variety to choose from but not too fussed to just easily order what I like from the menu and get it made to order. For full review check out my blog post.

I came here for lunch mid week and was surprised how busy it was. We had no problem being seated however getting the waiters attention for drinks was a little tricky.
The selections are standard, the sashimi fresh but the sushi seemed to be bland and missing flavour. The chicken katsu roll was my least favourite. Overall Sushi train is comparably priced to other sushi restaurants but the taste lets it down. I probably wouldn't return to a sushi train, Cremorne.

The food quality is great. On a bad night you might have to wait up to 30 minutes for a table. The price of the food is very reasonable when compared to other sushi train places around the area. They could definitely do with extra seats during peak times to handle the extra customers.

I agree with dainabyrne re the earlier reviews. Sushi places where the plates are transported on those belt conveyors, never take bookings. If you go at the busy hours, you would expect to wait. It's something you should know before going to any of these venues. We've been here many times when it is extremely busy and when it's not.
Regardless of that, I think the service is quite good compared to other non Japanese venues. They have lots of wait staff who keep an eye out for your needs at all times. For children they bring out the typical IKEA plastic dishes they give you when you go to Japanese-run restaurants. My kid loves using those colourful platic eating set. The waiting could be a bit faster if you are 1 or 2 and don't need a table seating.
You basically come here so you don't have to wait for the food to come once you are seated. If you don't have time, just do takeaway. The sushi here is always fresh, especially the ones on a golden Special dish. The 'elegant' or 'westernised-styled' sushi are quite overwhelming with the amout of mayo and sauce, but it's hard to find a place that does not over do this style of sushi nowadays. A la carte food also comes out quite fast, too, but the flavour is too strong.
When you come here, it's best to just have the sushi and if what you want is not within your sight, just order it as it will come out very quickly. The decoration, colour and feature makes this Sushi Train quite different from others. It looks very like a typical sushi train eatery in Japan. The one thing they can really improve is the BGM. It's soooooooo loud!! Even when you ask them to turn it down, they won't!
When sitting in table seating, you need to lean fwd to hear what your partner is saying! And the genra (reggae/jazz/some time dance music) doesn't help it at all. Why does it have to be so loud? You don't need music to enjoy your sushi!

I think the below reviews are typical of an experience on a busy friday/saturday night, as the restaurant is still in its early days it is very popular and it is not at all uncommon to see queues of people on these busy nights.
However, on a weekday night or lunch time when they are still full (just not crazy busy) the service is just fine (although, you do need to ask water to be filled up).
The menu is extensive and always fresh and always plenty of variety on the train. The alacarte menu is also great and still very cheap. I have dined here many times, both with groups and on my own, and have enjoyed every experience, very lovely food in a great themed restaurant. Much like most sushi trains, the price can quickly add up, but for $20 you will be full, so can't really complain that much.

Completely and utterly disappointed with this sushi train, never again will I bother to visit this location due to the complete lack of service. The night in question was busy, but after waiting more then 30mins to be seated and then having 2 different groups seated before us even when we had arrived before them was a joke. Unless you want to wait around like an idiot I would not bother with this sushi train as there are much better locations else where for sushi.

I never thought I would make the time to register for this site to not only review a restaurant but also set up its profile so that the review could be read.
If you can detect bitterness already you are dead right. Tonight I went there to celebrate my lovely 14 year old nieces birthday with the family (we have been here several times before).
Upon arrival we had to wait for a table as they don't take bookings - after a 15min wait we got our table and sat down. We also gave them a cake for the birthday celebration.
In short the service here is disgraceful, you will have a nicer time heading next door for a happier meal and you won't have to deal with the rude floor manager who clearly needs to re-assess his choice of career.
When we asked for the cake it came out in the box we gave it to them in along with the candles unlit, still in their packet. The service did improve as I was filling out the tip section of the bill with a horizontal line. There are plenty of nicer places nearby to go to.
