Amazing, authentic Japanese food. We live in the area and have been going since it opened up - the chef cooks in the open kitchen in what appears to be a very authentic Japanese food (based on our trip to Kyoto earlier this year).
Friendly staff who I believe may be the chef's family, though service can be a bit slow at times if there's more than a few groups in there. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of food. One of our favourite restaurants in Sydney - highly recommended!

Went there on a Friday night. There was only one cook and one waiter, so everything was quite slow. Food was nice but the servings were very small and the prices way too high. There are much better value Japanese restaurants nearby in Chatswood and Artarmon.

We went here for a family dinner after googling local Japanese restaurants and reading the reviews below. What a good find! For entrees we had the edamame, eggplant in sweet miso and the spicy soft shell crab. All were very good. We then shared a deluxe sushi platter; at $50 for 10 individual pieces it was not cheap but the quality was excellent. The tempura was good with two huge prawns and a variety of vegetables including asparagus.We also had the kingfish teriyaki which was well cooked and nicely presented. We took our own wine but we were also offered chilled water on arrival and throughout the meal. We are already planning to go back to try their lunch menu in the next couple of weeks.

Went here on a Sunday night. The food was very nice, we shared a mixed tempura entree and teriyaki kingfish and salmon as mains, all were cooked extremely well. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. We will be going back.

An excellent addition to dining in Willoughby. This is a samll family run Japanese restaurant with table and counter service. We have been a couple of time and have really enjoyed the very fresh combination sushi and sashimi platter (different fish selection each time, with great inside out sushi rolls). We also tried and enjoyed the tempura and rice dishes. The wine selection is very limited (one white and one red) so BYO is recommended if you want wide. They have a more extensive sake and beer selection.
