Ate here with friends Friday night, this is our favourite sushi place in Sydney CBD. Always delicious, fresh top quality made sushi. Highly recommend this place!

Fresh, tasty and good value for money. Consistently well made sushi and friendly service. Come here all the time.

Been here a number of times over the years. Never had a problem getting a seat and has always been room for more. They used to do a great softshell crab on tofu but couldn't find it last time. Will definitely be back.

This place was fun! Sushi trains are sort of like that. We got there just before the lunch rush hour on a Saturday and were seated promptly. Didn't allow us to reserve any seats calling in but once we were there, were able to save one seat for a friend.

The constant greeting and thankyous by the whole staff as each person walked in and out of the shop was awesome. Oh and they do it in Japanese so I'm not even sure if they were saying it to me when I walked in but it certainly adds to the ambience.

The toilets are like 100 m below and behind the shop, shared with other restaurants but it was clean and maintained. They were quick to take any extra orders we might have had. I was sitting in the right area, I think, right near the cashier and even when my mum dropped a chop stick or hat they quickly got her a new pair or picked up her hat for her. I really appreciate that sort of gesture.

The food was fine. Japanese food. Hard to go wrong when made by Japanese people. Don't be fooled by the sign that says all sushi $3. That means all the red plates with some form of rice wrapped in it. Still it is a great value place. Will go again!

We came to this restaurant since I have been here before hoping to get the same kind of service and I did not get that this time around. We waited for 45 minutes for a table only to realise the hostess had skipped our table completely and crossed us off And gave our table away to someone else. She even asked us whether we wanted a table or not before she went back to seating customers at the counters.

We then sat and ordered our food and drink orders were wrong and only realised when asked about what we ordered. The waiters and waitresses dumped our food and didn't bother to take the time to tell us what was on the plates. They didn't bother trying to make our experience any better by offering us anything else due to all the mistakes they did that night, which frustrated me and made me not enjoy the food at all!

Needless to say I will not be returning to Sushi Rio ever again!

Went there yesterday with my wife and the staff ask us to write down our names on the waiting list sheet even though there's two available chair and we are the only one on the list. The food was ok, nothing special. Might need some more variation because we see the same thing again and again and again (we've stayed there for approx 1 hr and some plates still in the conveyor belt since we came).

After that, we went to somewhere else to get Tempura Ebi Nigiri (Rio only have Deep fried Ebi) and realised that its cheaper and more variety there compare to Rio.

Great atmosphere, fresh original dishes and experienced sushi chef's. I always love the originality of the goods on the belt that you don't see at the standard sushi restaurants. I go here with my boyfriend about once a week and rave about it to my friends. What a little gem!

Good value and great sushi. All the sashimi is fresh and there is a great variety. Great place to go for that sushi fix. Friendly service. Love coming here for sushi when I am in the area.

Went to this place last night with a friend, on the first dish her comment was "this ain't fresh", I told her "it was not bad last time", giving the place the benefit of the doubt

After going through 5 or 6 dishes, the initial impression did not improve, and actually went down due to the fact that I was staring at the conveyor belt and didn't see anything new, or different, in the span of 20 odd minutes.

The a la carte, made to order food wasn't too bad (ordered a kimchi soup and it was of reasonable quality), the cooked food on the conveyor belt was passable, if a bit chilled from the tripSSSSS around the track, but the sushi was not worth the effort, and if the fish on the sushi ain't fresh, I don't want to think how long the sashimi had been lingering in limbo (hence I didn't dare try).

On a side note both me and my friend felt a bit nauseous afterwards, got home barely in time for the loo (good thing I didn't risk my guts with the sashimi..). Won't be back.
