Great food Fresh excellent portions Great value Lunch weekends a Great new addition to a little place in a Hidden away Nook under the apart ment block of the Old Childerns Hospital site, Ex Jazushi Rest Chef in Surry Hills, Get down there nice Yummy.

Small, clean and great food. We go most Sunday evenings and were originally disappointed in the hard seats, however, the food kept us coming back. They have now placed cushions on all the seats making it a perfect eating place. The sashimi is always great.

Sushi Masa is a small restaurant hidden amongst a new development, can be a little tricky to find, but if you park on Layton St and cross Pyrmont Bridge Rd you will find it tucked away. Masa (the chef) was formerly from the class of Sushi Rashai, so expect fresh sushi and sashimi.

The sushi cuts are generous, typical of authentic Japanese food and various dishes are on offer. Lookout for chalkboard specials as The Kingfish Carpaccio and Duck Teriyaki are worth a try. Also found the Katsu chicken tender and Unagi petite and fatty (a good thing). Nice for a newbie. Will improve over time.

Tucked away in the city quarter complex, this is my new favourite sushi place. Very authentic Japanese. Sushi and sashimi is very fresh with different types of fish I have never tried before and other mains, especially the nanban chicken are delicious. They have an interesting specials menu. I have also been there for lunch on the weekend and it was excellent value. $15 for a lunch set (same size as a dinner main + entree and extras). Service is excellent and very friendly. Highly recommended!!!
