I definitely recommend this place! The food is very good and the Bento boxes are awesome value for money! I work in this area with my partner and we eat here regularly.

The owner/chef and staff are lovely and always says hello. Although the service can be a bit patchy, with uncleared dirty plates on tables at peak hour during dinner times, regulars always overlook this because there are only 3-4 staff working tirelessly around the clock. Wait time is always less than 15 minutes for food. The food is always fresh and perfectly cooked. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!

Great food always, best food and value for money for Japanese anywhere! Little English and the waitstaff have less than average attentiveness to customers, but they are all friendly and do eventually give you what you need, love this place overall and eat here weekly!

Agreed with the reviews and then some. Best sushi joint in the world (and I have done all the sushi joints in the city and Pyrmont).

Don't be put off by the appearance of this place, small and sometimes quiet. The food is generous, fresh, and generally amazing.

Highly recommended is the $13 lunch special with a bento box of chicken teriyaki, sashimi, sushi, salad and veges, so good it can be eaten every day.

This place certainly lived up to expectations from the reviews. All the food was excellent and extraordinary value (e.g. 4 grilled salmon sushi pieces for little more than 1 costs in places like Azuma, but quality just as good). Highly recommended, and I'll be going back soon.

I work in the vicinity of this restaurant and eat there on a weekly basis. The entire menu is teaming with tasty morsels that simply must be tried. Not only is the food scrumptious and fresh, the value is next to none. I believe the fish is bought daily at the fish market. The owner is always happy to recommend a great dish and is super friendly. Definitely the place to eat in Pyrmont.

I eat here regularly, and it is by far the best sushi/sashimi in the area. The service is great, and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The bento boxes are a good value lunch meal, but I'm always drawn to the quality sashimi. Always fresh.

We have been eating at this place for years. The sushi/sashimi is always fresh and serving sizes generous. The dinner box is consistently good value, staff are friendly and helpful. Its a small place but we notice a lot of takeaway customers also, which means its probably busier than it looks. I haven't had a bad meal yet and we always leave full, and at under 40 bucks for 2 people, we haven't found a better value Japanese restaurant yet. The Korean food here is also tasty.

Good food, good price, good service. Having tried the various japanese restaurants around the area, we find ourselves always drawn back to quality sushi and grilled king fish head! Understated, relies on quality food to speak for themselves. Def our fave restaurant in Pyrmont.

Fabulous simply served sushi. Can't wait till I am not longer pregnant and can go back for the Sushi/Sashimi combination platter. So fresh it jumps from the plate, great friendly chefs. Takeaway always tastes great too. Really really good value for inner city sushi.

This place is amazing! I got the combo c box, it is so cheap for the variety you get! It has tempura (best in Sydney), tuna and salmon nigiri and sashmi (so so fresh it simply melts in your mouth!), teriyaki chicken (perfectly marinated and delicious good quality chicken), salad with yummy dressing (always fresh and crispy) and free miso and tea.

I am a regular Japanese diner and this cafe beats every other place! The quality is as good as fine dining Japanese as another reviewer said. The decor is of a cafe but it works well for a quick bite with great quality food for excellent value. Highly recommended!
