I went here last Sunday night and when I went to pay my bill, the waitress was so extremely rude! She snatched my coins out of my hands while I was trying to count it and then insulted me by asking if I had another $60, as if I was only going to give her $7 from which she grabbed out of my hands.

I then said, "yes hang on", she rolled her eyes and when I gave her the money she slammed my changed on the table and just walked away. Never have I ever had someone so utterly rude and obnoxious treat me like that. It was my first and last time there.

I wouldn't recommend going there unless you want terrible service.

Sushi Bay at Parramatta is one of my favourite places to go for a quick bite during a long day of shopping so when I heard there was one at Liverpool (which is closer to me) I was not fussed to try it out. It is very much unlike the Parramatta store, the staff are rather unwelcoming and greetings are non-existent, the food is not as fresh and looks like its been rotating on the belts all day.

I was very disappointed with my overall experience hoping that they were just having an "off day" after a couple of more visits I found out that this was not the case. For a quick sushi fix I rather travel the extra 15 minutes to Parramatta for their great hospitality and service.

Japanese restaurant run by Korean. The staff didn't seems like they want to serve the customer. Ordered a karage and it came out burnt! Asked if that's the normal colour the staff gave us death looks, took our plate back and tossed it on their bench top. It was even put back on the revolving sushi belt!

Ordered a surf clam sushi and they made us the wrong one. Told a staff and she argued with us. Later confirmed with chef and yes they made us the wrong one.
The sushi on the belt is not fresh. Though they have signs to instruct customers to order thru their friendly staff for what they want, the staff were not happy when we asked. It was even hard to find the staff as they're always inside the kitchen or have their back to the customers. Not coming back ever!

What a big place! Easily the biggest Sushi Bay around, with a section where many people can sit down on proper tables and eat! I do find the food quality a little less than its Parramatta counterparts. When I went on a early saturday night, there was no one there! The range though appeared to be the same as other places.
Service, well I went in and started eating and it looked like the place was deserted!

Value, prices comparable to other sushi places. A little disappointing especially with such a big place for a sushi place.

My experience at Sushibay liverpool compels revisit with whole of family because of their taste and service. The other day I after work was very tired and no strength to go home because I was so starving. Sushi bay's large exposure attract me and I was impressed by one of waitress who opens door for me.

I start to staring only that I did not know what to eat. The fish sushi looked shiny and juicy that I fill my stomach until plates reach to my eye site. The money I paid was below $30 include delicious hot miso soup that helps me to wake up from feeding more. The waitress also opened door for me that makes my best day for whole week.

I certainly recommended to my hubby to take 2 kids together to share my best experience eating sushi at sushi bay. I think everyone's experience will be different from their expectation. But you never forget the best taste and welcoming spirit when you visit restaurant.

I strongly recommend to visit sushi bay at Liverpool just entrance of shopping centre. You can pretty much feel relax from its large floor space and friendly staff.
    Cheer up Sushi Bay Liverpool.

I was so taken away (by the bad experience) I felt compelled to create this listing so I could review the restaurant.

Food - 3. The variety of food provided was very limited, less than its Parramatta store. Made special order for Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake). Usually eat it with cabbage base, other veges and, perhaps, chicken pieces. This time, I ordered seafood. The base was made of noodles (yuck!). Grilled scallops was hard, already had some sort of sauce poured over it and it was cold. I usually get mine made fresh to order at Takumi.

Ambience - 3. From the outside, the place looked really nice. There was a number of 4 seats + table attached to sushi train. Also separate mezzanine level for a la carte (wasn't available when I was there for lunch). However, once I was inside there was nothing particularly special. Place was large, but with few customers, seemed bit empty and quiet.

Service - 1. First time I felt that Japanese/Korean sushi restaurant wasn't friendly and had good service. When I tried to order food with the cook/sushi kitchen staff, it was hard to get her attention. When I did, she just acknowledged the order by a grumpy 'yep' and without a smile. There was only 1 sushi kitchen staff at the restaurant and 1 kitchen hand. Did not see anymore cooking staff.

The waitress was only occupied in cleaning her sushi plate covers. She never looks up to see if customer wanted any service. Even when I went to pay my bill, I stood at the cashier, then had to walk across to the waitress to get her to come over so I could pay.

Value - 4. Dishes as priced similarly to other sushi restaurants. Prices vary $2.50 - $7.00 (usually $3.50-$5.00). A la carte menu was around $12 average dish. I'd be happy to pay these prices is the other 3 categories scored higher.

Conclusion: Won't be going back to Sushi Bay again. Disappointed by the Parramatta franchise, and even more by the Liverpool franchise.
