This place has a very good nigiri, very authentic japanese and its fast paced even when busy, I come by a lot and will keep coming, It is not really cheap but it does satisfy, the servers are never the same and it is most of the time disappointing but the food makes it up.

Enjoying the decor and sushi until 3 staff members (including one from the kitchen) entered the toilet which is clearly visible from the seats. The staff spent 4 or 5 minutes in the toilet fixing some issue, then returned to their work making and serving food without washing their hands. Total turn off and we left without taking another bite!

Great sushi bar, the service was friendly, quick and helpful. The menu was not extensive but what was there was delivered very well. They were only too happy to cook to order and it was fast and fresh. Went there with three kids and the staff were very accommodating. Highly recommended.

Great little place, tucked away upstairs on the corso. Food was delicious, not a huge selection but what they do provide is faultless. The service was excellent as well, the people working there were so polite and attentive.

I think I ate 5 plates for around $20. It's ok value but happy to pay that because of the service and great food. It's a nice quick meal too, in and out within half an hour or so. Definitely heading back to this place.

Fabulous sushi here, as noted by other customers the sushi menu is limited, but the chefs are always happy to make to order which alot of customers do. Service is nothing amazing but always friendly and smiling and seriously how much service do you really need at a sushi train?

Neat little place, and convenient. But the sushi was definitely not the best I've ever had. Service was fairly good (but can't imagine what it must be like when they are packed). Not worth the prices that they ask.

Been here numerous times, would def recommend. Food is always fresh and so reasonably priced, being a BYO that also helps with the purse strings. The chefs are very friendly and always happy to make something on the spot. You have to try the crab balls, yum!

Me and my boyfriend come here at least twice a week, at one stage last year we came 4 times a week for a month. Even though they don't have the widest selection, the plates are cheap as chips, all of the staff are awesome, the two chefs in the middle know my boyfriend and I now.

Lately, the portions have decreased and the prices have inflated a little. However, I look past this because it is such a friendly and warm restaurant to come back to. Plus, these are hard economic times and they have to make money, just like the rest of us. I think they do a great job and will definitely stay loyal to sushi bar taka.

I love this place! It is my absolute favourite sushi bar in Sydney! Unfortunately, I don't live in the manly area anymore but I used to eat here at least twice a week, I miss it so much. My faves have to be the seared scallop and the prawn with miso and leek nigirisushi. Everything is fresh and there is a great variety on offer. Also the sushi chefs are more than happy to quickly make anything from the menu that might not be on the sushi train at that time. Always friendly service and more than reasonable prices. Complimentary green tea too which is how it should be. Its very easy to get addicted to this place.
