I love this cafe. The food is delicious, the coffee great and I have always found the staff helpful, professional and pleasant. Additionally, if you're vegetarian there is always plenty to choose from which in my experience is rare.

This is not a one time experience for us. We have tried this cafe on numerous occasions before and after the renovations. On ALL visits the staff have been rude and unhelpful even whilst asking where your order is 40 minutes later on a quiet day!! Mind you the order was for two egg and bacon rolls. On our last and I mean last visit a friend of one of the waitress's received her order before us even though she only waited 10 minutes and we had been waiting 30 minutes.
We agree with other comments about this cafe it is an embarassment to the shire and should be black listed by all. Nice try at trendy, massive failure.

Food was good, they have great portions and it's tasty (have been about 4 times now). It's a little barren inside but the staff are reasonably friendly (don't expect over the top for behind the counter service). They have an interesting display of goodies at the end of the counter as well for gifts, etc. Surprisingly good coffee.

Divine food, great menu with plenty of colour, flavours and variety. Staff are only too willing to accommodate your individual needs including high chairs, messy children, fussy eaters, etc. Staff are friendly and service is fast and efficient.
Cafe is modern and looks great. It is clean and has a high standard of hygiene. Favourites are the fruit salad smoothie, gourmet lamb pie, big brekkie, hokkien salad, etc etc. YUM!

Unfortunately we will never again attempt to dine at Surfeit. Having lived my whole life in Cronulla this restaurant is an embarrassment to the area. The staff had stressed, unhappy expressions which has me wondering about management.
The soup looked and smelt absolutely divine. Pity I didn't get to taste it as we walked out and went to another, better restaurant down the road. My parents' line of work is in the local accommodation industry and they will certainly not be recommending this establishment to their guests. Shame.

Great food but this place is a dump and everyone is ferral. May cut it darlinghurst but not in the shire. This place is a diamond in the rough... bust out the polish!

I have had take away around lunch time from Surfeit a few times and every time I have been overwhelmed at the taste of their food. Lovely flavours and different meals on the menu, which is lovely to see. Keep up the good work in the kitchen!! Always a pleasure!

Fantastic breakfast, small area though so you have to get there early to get a table. Not much ambience but for the price and quality of the food its worth a try. Service is neither here nor there, they are not overly friendly but get the job done. Also the Salmon Croquette is to die for!

What a great place for a casual lunch. The food was great - most options on the menu are healthy and the four meals ordered at our table were super fresh and tasty. We were amazed at how cheap it was (my lunch, juice and coffee was under $20) - I've paid triple the price for half the quality elsewhere in cronulla.
Couldn't complain about the service, they were busy but still managed to offer menus and clear our table quickly. Not much in the way of ambience but if it had a view the price would probably double and they'd put less effort into the food I guess!
