On 2nd February, 2012, after having a big day with overseas friends, we wished to have a light meal with congee while we walking on Dixon St Chinatown. Two girls flashed menus in front of their restaurant and invited us to go to the sitting area.

We did not pay much attention to its filthy tables, environment and even waiting staff’s dress and just wanted to have a quick light meal. We ordered 8 dishes for a total of $142.60.

We had to return two of the dishes, for one of them with a piece of newspaper and the other one with moving caterpillar on the decoration green vegetable. We informed one lady who appeared to be the one in charge. No matter how hard we tried to tell him both in English and Chinese about the problem, she showed no emotion and not a word about the substandard food preparation problem let alone a apology.

We later on checked the internet review on this outlet and regretted dining there. It is on the food authority shame list as well.

It is unfortunate, but anyone who comes to this restaurant should check their bill when they pay. I went there yesterday, and upon paying, realised that the prices for the peking duck and drink were more than what was on the menu. I also ordered wonton soup, but did not check the price. When I asked the cashier why the price difference, she said they were 'public holiday' prices. But of course, yesterday was Not a Public Holiday.

For an established and well known establishment, this is very disappointing, and clearly, with so much competition and other choices around, I will not be back.

Came here at 10:45pm and had the Pork and Preserved Egg congee (delicious with sweet broth), Crispy fried noodles (large portion and appropriately fried). It is cheap and is perfect for late night dinners! It's not a flash restaurant, but you get fed at a late hour. What more do you need?

Best chinese dining in Sydney is experienced sitting outside on the street in Chinatown a warm November evening eating fresh mud crab, pippis in XO sauce and roasted duck. Service may seem rude at first, but the staff is very loving and helping and the quality of the food serviced is far better than what Neil Perry can achieve when it comes to asian food.

This is a very popular hangout for the chinatown bunch. Congee is great.

Typical Chinese food so it was tasty. Service though was really horrible. Very rude staff. They stand around looking like they're waiting to serve you and when they come they don't talk to you, are very impatient, and even gives you sulky faces. This was not just one waiter but all 3 waiters who took our order, gave us tea (they also stuffed up our order) and who got us our bill.

Love Superbowl, love their lean pork and century egg congee, wontons and basically their whole menu. Fast service, food comes out very quickly. yum.

The food is typical msg flavoured. We had pipis stir fried in xo sauce and that was quite tasty. Fujian fried rice was delicious as the msg had penetrated each rice grain. Good thing they are affiliated with the y2k drink/dessert place next door, because one gets very thirsty after consuming such large quantities of MSG. So get a sugary drink to quench the msg side effects. Place is a bit unhygienic, but you are eating in Chinatown, just be glad there's no rat's tails in the dishes.

This place is going down hill, food is no longer cheap and not as tasty as before either. Lets not get me started on the customer service side, because there is very little or non existence.

We specifically asked for no straws to avoid waste. The only drink which came without huge disposable straws was the hot drink and that came in a disposable coffee cup with plastic lid. Oh, no, who cares a stuff about the environment?
    Won't go there again.
