Out of our suburb range, and up for lunch, we decided to go here. A three floor monstrosity built on the back of pokies, with decor to match. We signed in and got some drinks which were fairly priced, even though we did not get the members pricing.

Food was a different story though. I paid $19.90 for flathead fillets and chips and $14.90 for my partners nachos. In a club? Both meals were worth half. Condiments came in plastic cups. The salad with the fish was disappointing and the chips were ordinary crunchless and tepid. Nachos were so so, and small. However, meal service was quick and we got our table cleared in a flash. Verdict - an overpriced touch up.

I find it a little strange that Rsl's and League clubs charge food the same price as a restaurant, I guess in general people think these type of places it will be cheaper. Maybe once upon a time but no longer.

The food I got was the taste I expected, and my friends vege lasagna looked strange, it was in a pie bowl and looked sloppy. I did like the chips and gravy, they give a decent serving.

The service was strange, I got my meal very quickly while my other friends who were behind me in the queue, took roughly 15-20 minutes to come out. There is plenty of seats and an out door area but the decor is unremarkable. An average experience.

This place is nothing special. Just your average RSL club type food. My steak was not very tender, the chips were oily and tasteless and the salad was not too bad. The desserts in the coffee shop downstairs are nice but the ambience of this place ruins the meal. Being surrounded by poker machines does not make this a nice place to eat. They should have put their coffee shop and brasserie further away and on a different floor to where the poker machines are. The chinese restaurant in this club on the other hand is really good and I would only come back to go there and to the cafe downstairs after wards, as the cakes there are also quite nice.
