The Sultan's is a great place to start the night. Order yourself a few dips and bread and a couple of mixed grills and don't forget your free BYO and you are sure to have a great time.
The quality of the food is very good and the price is also very reasonable given the quality. The ambience is average but that's how I like it!
I had heard so many great things about this place from my mate, however the hype, and an outstanding experience at a random Lebanese takeaway in Auburn place the day before resulted in lower ratings than what I might have given.
All the dips we had were scrumptious (mixed platter [huge]), the bread fresh (hot!) and the pides delish. Delightful. This place is still just as good, if not better than when I originally reviewed it. The vegetarian with the lot is the master pide.
If you can sit in the courtyard, do so. It has a great vibe, especially on a balmy evening. Staff are cheerful. This is a a kebab shop using quality ingredients, mixed with pride in their art, that have turned themself into a small no fuss restaurant. What this place lacks in chic decor it makes up for in authenticity and charm.
Great Turkish food, cooked very well. Enticing menu and lots of flavour. Suitable serving sizes and honest value. The restaurant's location is across the road from the Enmore Theatre and close to many lively bars. Make sure you book ahead on the weekend.
The food is great and good value. However, we had to wait two hours for two pides. We ended up getting them for free but the hassle of waiting so long for such a simple meal put a dampener on our dining experience.
We ate here last night after reading the many reviews and having wanted to try the restaurant for some time. We took the waiters advise and ordered the mixed dips with turkish bread, a meat pide and a mixed kebab platter. (There were 3 of us). The food was very tasty and the servings were excellent, the waiters were attentive and helpful. We finished with a turkish coffee and an apple tea and the overall consensus was that we enjoyed the meal and would definitely recommend this place. The value for money was excellent.
Delicious! Portions are massive, so keep that in mind when ordering! Some meals can be a little bit oily. I recommend the shish and the pide, and the mixed grill is enormous. Casual, fun and great value.
This is another of my top 5 favorite eat out spots. Worth the trip to Enmore and there are heaps of groovy pubs, theatres in Newtown. The food is fantastic, great vibes.
This was our first time in Enmore since arriving in Sydney 3 months ago. I read a great review about the Sultan's Table online, and having previously lived in Turkey we decided to eat here prior to a gig at the Enmore Theatre.
The place is so authentic, and the food is fabulous. We ate the mixed kebab and stuffed aubergine, but the table next to us were tucking into a mighty feast of vegetarian pides, and huge plates of meatballs. It looked ( and we were assurred tasted) fabulous. Would definitely recommend this place, and we will be back soon.
I have eaten here before and it has been good but I recently had a pide and zucchini fritter and the fritter was so oily I threw it out and the pide was also extremely oily and salty. The filling was so greasy it kept falling out and it was terrible to eat.
