Food is great. Great value for money. The service is good and friendly. It is small so it does get crowded and very, very busy. But the food is worth it! We've been several times and we will go again.
Food is consistently great. Service can be quite haphazard as always busy but we've always found it friendly. Think value is good, usually leave with half our food so end up with two meals for the price of one, dip plates fantastic.
Went because our regular place was having renovations, it wasn't the best, food was ok, very small servings, expensive for what you got, service was good but there were cockroaches running around the courtyard, won't be back.
I love Sultan's Palace, it might not have the best looking interior, however, what they lack in ambience they make up with the food. It's all traditional turkish food, reasonably priced and great tasting. I often go here to get a taste of home without having to cook or go and visit my mother to get her to cook! Absolutely love!
Food is ok, nothing you can't get at a run of the mill turkish joint in Sydney. The service is just awful. While the place is understandably busy, theres no excuse to be rude to your customers.
Called in for a late dinner so getting a table wasn't a problem. Service was good as were the three dishes ordered. Excellent value. Fortunately it was a long walk back to the car. Will certainly return. Mixed grill was good, particularly the chicken.
Awesome value for money. The poor waiters were run off their feet and couldn't keep up (hence, my service score). The food was outstanding and I would have to say that this is by far the best Turkish eatery in Sydney.
We have gone to the Sultans several times over the space of 2 years, eating in and ordering takeaway. My partner and I decided to go on a middle of the week night. We had been there last minute before when it was very busy, and when told it was booked out/full we said ok we will order takeaway. So we did and went on our way happy with our food.
But last night we went there and was told it was booked out, we noticed the tables near the door had uncleared plates and food but were vacant but thought ok maybe someone is coming later. So we ordered takeaway of heaps of dips, turkish breads and several pides plus drinks. We waited patiently for the pides for about 15 minutes which is normal. But! What happened next was three groups of couples without bookings came in and asked for a table and was seated! Yes people had left in that 15 minutes and maybe they cleared they managed to clean the other tables.
But we were not even offered a table then. I know we had not booked for table but we were still standing there and they seated others. Are they blind! I was feeling a bit weird about it all. But there won't be a next time ever. We got our takeaway food and left, with a bad taste in our mouth. I think they have gotten too busy to care to say you can wait 5 minutes then there maybe a table.
Ok not the most romantic place in Sydney but oh so authentic! The food and the service is magnificent. Parsley dip on the strong side but still yummy!. Dolmades and the meats to die for, and pide worth fighting for!
