Julia is so sweet and had to fix me after experience with George Giavis Blonde Room. She had her work cut out for her and I no longer look like a cartoon troll and back to blonde. Great drinks, hair, salon & friendly staff. My only gripe is it is a bit pricey.

I've been to Suki a few times, and there is no doubt they are great with colour, and the drinks menu is a nice touch, a glass of champa's while you're getting your hair cut is lovely. However if you're at all on a budget it's not ideal. The first time I went I ended with a $550 bill and I was shocked so asked for a receipt. For my chin length hair they charge $80 for a treatment, etc. So now I know to say no to anything extra they offer and it's far more reasonable.

I have heard so much about Suki that they have obtained awards and people talk about them on forums. I went to Suki to try out their hair-colour service. It was a weekday afternoon and the salon was quite busy. I guess it's Christmas time. Suki is located at the heart of Paddington in the midst of nice shops. The entrance made the salon look quite small but once you entered the salon it was not small at all. The salon has a nice clean look to it. Right at the end of the salon, it was a full glass wall that you could look outside a little mini courtyard with a water feature.

Once I was sitted, I was given a drink menu where I could select from a list of tea from T2 and coffee. I started my avro pampering with a cup of detox tea and straight after Tiffany approached me. I booked Tiffany for hair-colour service. She was friendly and cheerful. We had a short discussion on what I'd like to do with my hair. She showed me a colour book and discussed a few options of colour. She suggested a medium chestnut brown as the base and a lighter colour towards the end of my hair and a few streaks on the side to frame my face. I wasn't sure about the technique as I'd think that dual colour on my hair would look that I haven't had my hair done for a long time with big patches of grow out. Anyway, I went ahead with her suggestion.

The outcome was great! I was glad that I went with her suggestion. I also read in forums that they were pushy with their products - it was not the case at all. It was a stress-free 2.5 hours relaxing afternoon at Suki. I didn't expect that they make cappuccino as well! The bill was a bit steep. It was $300 for foils, hair colour and blow wave styling. I had a wonderful experience at Suki and might go back to try out a new haircut.
