Had the Sirloin at the top of the menu very good value for 15 bucks and am definitely going back because I saw the lamb shanks and they looked awesome.

Fantastic, I'd heard good reviews from many friends, so eventually got around to trying it out, very pleasant surroundings, excellent food at a cheap price, no mains over $15, overall a good experience from someone who used to frequent the premises many years ago, well done to the owners.

What has happened to this once great place? Used to be a great meeting place, but although a whole pile of cash has been spent on the joint, (I've been gone for a while) it no longer has a friendly feel. The food was cold, the place was empty, the live music was gone and the feel was kinda strange. Some of the bar staff were ok but there seems to be a vibe of hostility somehow to the customers. Too much emphasis on pokies and blaring tv's - no more soul. What happened dudes? Way to drive away business.

This serves average pub fare - OK food, nothing near restaurant quality, but big servings and cheap. I ordered a burger which was dry and hard to cut. The eating area has been newly refurbished, but I could have done without the doof doof music thumping in the background at lunch. We were in a large group but the place was less than half full. Service was very slow.

Great makeover of both upstairs and the staff. Glad they kept the downstairs intact though, should keep the regulars happy. A smart idea averaging the price around the $15 mark across the extensive menu. Excellent value.

Since the renovations this place is brilliant. The upstairs area is a great on a hot day with the mist sprays on the upper level which is open to the sky in the centre.
The staff have all been given nice pills and are really pleasant. (Is this place in Sydney?). Drinks are reasonably priced and they do a cheap carafe of cocktails which is nice to share on a hot day.
I've eaten there twice so far and it was great. Everything is pretty much $15 and great quality. The chicken parmigiana was excellent when recovering from a big party weekend. The spinach and feta pie with a rocket salad is great. Looking forward to going back and trying their salmon in ginger broth.

The new menu is great pub fare despite not having the $5 options anymore. The mains all average around $15 but are well worth it. So far I've tried the beef burger (big and delicious) and the chicken parmi (oh so tasty!). The new renovations are fantastic and there's a beautiful courtyard upstairs.

This place offers $5 meals if you buy a drink and its quality food and good value. You can get steak, fish and chips, schnitzel etc but the drinks are not exactly cheap. Its $3 for soft drinks. Furthermore since its a pub the place is not kid friendly. Its close proximity to Central station and Moore park means I have visited this establishment on many occasions where I was on my way to the footy.
So in short cheap food for a cheap price. You get what you pay for but I think its a lot better than expected
