Throughout summer Stonebar has an outside dining area ideal for that romantic evening. Sensibly priced Stonebar also offers a 2 course choice menu for only $39:90 per person 7 days a week. Had a lovely dinner here on Saturday night with my girlfriend. We had the seafood platter, which was absolutely awesome. Prawns both hot and cold, balmain bugs, oysters, mussels, scallops, baby octopus, lobster, salmon, calamari and more - all cooked to perfection

The service was quick and pretty friendly, and it's in a beautiful location. Overall an enjoyable night, and we will be going back for their death by lobster Sunday special!

We went with a group booking, even pre ordered the food. Services was good but the food was appalling to say the least. I could have got a better fish and chips from the local RSL. Very small portions and sloppy presentation. We shall never go back or recommend it to anyone. There are much better places to be found.

Made a reservation with Stonebar and when I was greeted with my girlfriends a party of 7 the service was such a breath of fresh air they pulled my chair poured our wine and was so polite and funny, made us laugh and enjoyed the night. We got shown the fish display and I choose the whole snapper with the BBQ prawns as my entree and was so delighted with what I got.

Prawns were awesome, fish was even better great value for money considering portion sizes and location and service was better than I imagined I will definitely be back Stonebar you have 1 very happy satisfied customer.

We dined here last night using our Entertainment Book (buy one main, get one free). The food was delicious and fresh and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back again! It was great to find such a nice restaurant so close to home.

Had visited Stonebar previously with my partner and had not returned for a while and was delighted to experience a service from Stonebar that exceeded my previous visit came with a party of 4, they all loved it, set menu is great value and the fish is the best in town, would recommend to anyone.

I have been to Stone bar on about four occasions spread over about 2 years and on each visit, been disappointed. As a local, I would really like it to be good, given its location, but it just misses the spot in too many key areas.

Firstly, the wait staff seem to try hard but seem to lack competence, or just don't listen. The lobster special on a Sunday, is to say the least, underwhelming. The choices are all garnished with strong sauces, suggesting a mask for freshness, which is questionable. Other choices on the menu are average to standard fare, with none standing out.

In summary, having given this restaurant 4 opportunities to shine above others, it hasn't. Given the number of restaurants in the Gladesville/Ryde corridor, I think you can do much better. I won't be going back soon to give it another chance.

Great food, great service, great location. I was concerned when I read some of the reviews as I had not visited the Stonebar for about 12 months. This afternoon 6 of us had a wonderful afternoon having all read the reviews last night we could not believe that they were about the same place!

The food was great and the service was better than I have experienced in many years and the location excellent. Thanks to everyone at the Stonebar for a great afternoon. We will return. On fact one of the coles intend to return next week to celebrate their anniversary.

The manager took our plates away without asking us. This is their way to push us to finish our meals. How ridiculous! It never happened in my life before. How could you expect people finish two bottles of wine within 30 mins? of course we wouldn't give any tips for the service like this. And then the other waiter gave us an awful look and grumble about it to the manager in front of us. I thought I should let them how uncomfortable we were, but I couldn’t be bothered. It absolutely ruined our Sunday afternoon. We (four of us) will never go back again.
