Look, the food is quite good. Large selection. Cooked fast. I have ordered delivery many times. But the one thing I find, is that every time, when my order is taken, they rush through it, very very poor English skills, orders are made wrong often. I keep buying here because of the variety but they honestly need to slow down a little and speak better English. This is the Lower North Shore, not Bangkok.

My experience has been with the Stir Crazy restaurants in Kirribilli and Neutral Bay, and both are consistent with their food quality, decor and service.
The food is amazing, fresh, generous portions and beautifully presented on bamboo leaves etc. It's BYO and no corkage charge as I recall.

The service is Ok, although you are treated a little bit like a number with no rapport being built between wait staff and customer. Funky Thai decor, tables a little too close together but apart from that it's a good place to meet friends for a casual Thai dinner.

We love this place easily our favorite local Thai place. It's great at what it does fast paced great Thai food if you want a slow romantic dinner it's probably not the place but for a quick Thursday night dinner we love it.

Awful. Cramped. Slow service. Food all tasted as if it had the same gloopy sauce poured over it. The antitheses of everything Thai food should be - fresh, zingy and well balanced. One of the only places in Sydney I have vowed never to go back too. It's not like there isn't plenty of decent competition near by.

The food was ok, mediocre at best for cuisine that has a l ot of great competition in surrounding suburbs. The service is was got me - absolutely terrible. They not only insisted that we sit crammed next to other patrons when there was plenty of other room, even after we requested to be moved - they then had the gaul the lie and say they were expecting a table of 6 at any moment. By the time we left the seats across the way were still free, surprise! They had the bill out to us before we'd even finished our meals. The background music was more like a dance club. It's a more than convenient place for me to to eat being just up the road but I will never go there again based on how badly we were treated. Plenty of great Thai in Crows Nest!

Given its involvement in a heavily saturated segment of the dining market (i.e. Thai food), Stir Crazy doesn't do much to help it stand out. Value for money is the only real feature in that it is all rather cheap and some of the dishes actually look the business.

I've been twice now. First time was for lunch when I was lured in by the clearly marked 'Open for Lunch' sign, but made to wait over 30 minutes because the chef doesn't start work until after 12:00. The other time was with friends and it was only due to the choice of others and proximity.

The fast paced service often comes across as nice and warm as physical assault, all of the crammed in patrons sit on top of one another in a creative use of no space at all and you can get a real thai hawker stall experience watching a staff member peel vegetables on the floor and place raw meat on to a dining table (unused luckily).

Oh, if you do take the plunge and decide to go here, make sure you have cash. Unlike just about every other place in Sydney, Stir Crazy doesn't not have an EFT or Card services at all. They also don't know where the nearest ATM is.

Cheap food is passable but what you save off the bill you more than make up in anxiety.

Can't believe the comment here about this place? I can't believe that people believe it to be poor value-for-money! They must not eat anywhere else accept RSL Clubs as a rule? I have eaten in the majority of restaurants on the North Shore and Stir Crazy is one of our favourites!

The food is superb with wonderful flavours, it's fast and definitely clean! Value for money, what else is there? We have taken people from all over the world over the past six-seven years to Stir Crazy and at no time were there any negatives! Perhaps, these guys should just stay in? It's great!

Possibly the worst thai meal I've ever eaten, rice heated in microwave, chicken tough and chewy, restaurant seemed dirty, service from lady who looked like she wasn't enjoying her job at all.

Despite all the negative reviews this place has received, we decided to give it a go anyway, I like to form my own opinion! We opted for takeout, we got Pad Thai and Chicken Massaman and I am pleased to report that both were fantastic! Lots of flavour and good portion sizes. Our food was ready when we went to pick it up so no hanging around. I also think it was very good value.
