The food here is fantastic, though the sizes are small and prices high. While it is more "fine-dining" than most Dee Why Beach restaurants, the prices are still quite high for the portion sizes and the experience. The staff are attentive too, which is good. I strongly recommend the oysters, they are enormous and incredibly tasty.

Over priced for what you get, the meat was so tough my mum could not eat it and they also got order wrong! It used to be a really good restaurant, I don't know what happened.

After reading reviews of this once favourite, I haven't been in some time, however, decided recently to go for dinner and glad we did. We had a great experience, the service was fantastic and the food was great. So whatever you've changed it works, so much so we went back for lunch last week.

I went to Stella Blu yesterday for fathers day. The food was good, service excellent and we sat outside on a beautiful sunny day so of course the ambience was great. My only complaint was the price and I had the impression they'd jacked up the prices for fathers day, a fathers day special menu is a bit of a giveaway. $180 for four mains, a salad and a bowl of chips plus 2 softdrinks each is too much for this restaurant in my view.

After 10 years of eating at the local institution that is Stella Blu I've come to realize it isn't the icon it once was. Our last few visits have noted that the care has disappeared from the plate and the service lacks the enthusiasm of times past. I hope it's former glory returns soon!

Mu husband and I decided to have an evening meal at Stella Blu as we had peviously dined there a couple of years ago and enjoyed it very much - but to our disappointment it was not at all enjoyable - to start with it was impossible to read the menu without using a candle and then it was difficult - I ordered the calarmari and although it was very tender it lacked spicing and taste - my husband had the whitebait fritter - not impressed - I then had the "porkloin" (read schnitzel) this was so thin and overcooked that is was well "caramelized (burnt) on the edges and so dried out it was nearly enedible) never mind that we waited nearly 1 hour for the main to be served and when we asked our waiter if our meal was on its way - he argued that er had not been waiting very long - we did not like his manner or attitude.

When I complained the Head Waiter/Manager suggested that I try it with the aeoli (could not believe my ears - Husband's steak was also not enjoyable - too much grissle - when we ordered or meal it took nearly 3/4 hour to be served. The steak did not come with potato so we ordered a side dish of kiffler fries - what a rip off $8.00 for a really small bowl of overy done potato. Mineral water $15.00 for bottle although they didf waiver this charge - all in all very disappointing. Certainly not go there again or recommend Stella Blu

Good Italian food on the beach. The menu changes loads making a regular visit here always worthwhile.

Came to Stella for the first time after visitng their other restaurant in Collaroy, Stella Italian Kitchen. I guess this is the upmarket version. Menu has a great selection of traditional italian favourites and always presented with class. The Bistecca is a winner as is the Slow roasted shoulder of lamb with seasonal vegetables. For dessert you must try the Ricotta Tart with chocolate and pistachio syrup. A beautiful ambience at night. I like the white table cloths, feels special.
