Hidden Gem in Rosehill. Came here for a small function and can I say that it was magnificent. Everything from the layout of the room, to the 5 star food, professional and friendly service. Went back again with some friends just for the great Cheese Platter and some Wine, one word Addicted, will be going back again and again and highly recommend this place.

This was our first time dining here and so we thought it would be a good time to take advantage of the 2 course special offer. Service was great, the food was delicious and overall was good value for money everything worked out well, apart from one awkward moment when the fire alarm started to go off. We weren't really fans of the dessert but the mains were beautiful. Definitely would come back for a nice quiet meal.

Went here 12 months ago and was delighted by both food and service. Visited again in June 2009, something has changed and definitely for the worse. Honey and garlic damper was a garlic bread loaf, the kind I would expect at Pizza Hut, with honey smeared over it.

Twice cooked pork belly was horrible. A pan fried can of mushrooms and a sliced, fried potato for $8.5 ea as sides had us wishing we had eaten somewhere else.
The only saviour for the experience was that the waitress made an error (in our favour) calculating the bill. Would definitely no longer recommend.

We must have been at different place on Saturday 5th July 2008. The rump steak was topped full of pepper despite nothing being mentioned on the menu and my having asked was it topped with pepper and they said no they were herbs. It was a very strong pepper. I ordered a beer and received a bottle and had to ask for a glass, not exactly a top class place.

It was very noisy from the bar noise and they should consider putting a solid door between the restaurant and bar especially on race days. I saw no sign of the excellent service mentioned in other reviews that we believed. I am so glad it was just my wife and myself as opposed to having taken other people there for a great dinner which turned out to a very ordinary one. I will think twice before believing the reviews so totally next time.

I dined with 3 other adults for a special birthday celebration for my husband. Hubby and I ordered the pepper steaks, very tender but not that much of a pepper flavour. Not the right restaurant for me. I was looking for more choices, especially with some seafood and more entree choices.

Although my son's steak was tender I was disappointed that we had to pay an extra $8.50 for some vegies and another $8.50 for potatoes to go with it. For over $50 I would have expected something better. Overall I didn't think the food was deserving of the prices.

What wonderful friendly staff at Steeds!! This restaurant is a hidden gem in Parramatta. The menu was delighted, it was hard to choose but, the tasting plate was a great teaser and the grain fed steaks melted in my mouth, wonderful!!! The wine list offered a great variety of blends at reasonable prices. Overall an enjoyable evening.

Heard about the restaurant from a friend and decided to go there for a special night out. The food was sublime and the service was fantastic. We were given time to enjoy our meal and the overall mood of the place was very good. Its tucked away in a hotel but worth the trip. I am definitely going back and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a special night out.

Boyfriend took me here for our anniversary. We ordered the honey herb bread to start and the Steeds platter for two and a side of vegetables to share for main. This allowed us to have a sample of everything from the menu ranging from Oysters, scampi, beef, pork, lamb, tandoori chicken, all on a bed of exotic rice and served with plum, yoghurt and sweet chilli sauce. It felt more like a platter for three because after we had absolutely stuffed ourselves, there was still food left over. The beef medallions were a bit too peppery for our liking. The ambience was perfect, well spaced out tables, large windows which allowed the lights from outside to lightly shine through the drapes. Did get a little noisy but it wasn't anything to worry about (must have been the wine the other diners had consumed). Service was fantastic. Quick, courteous and friendly wait staff. The meals are a little on the pricy side but for a special occasion this is a must. The service more than makes up for it.

So the food isn't cheap with mains ranging from $29-$40 BUT 'Oh My God' it's fan-tas-tic! We went Fri 12th Nov and it was, without a doubt the best food and service I have experienced in years.
Seriously, it was THAT GOOD.

We ordered Pork Fillet, Beef Fillet and on recommendation from the other review on this page, my girlfriend was so excited about the chocolate strawberry basket, while I tried the Trio of Gelatto, which included Berry and a scoop of Pear Gelatto-unbelievably tasty, I'm sure it was home-made. The friendliness of the service and the large windows looking out onto James Ruse Drive with the lights dimmed and the room quiet-just exceptional.

Hey, if you're a guy reading this and you want to really impress your girl and/or the in-laws, for God's sake take some money (or magic plastic) but impress them right there. And NO, I don't work on commission for them.

This was a meal that I will remember. The food was exceptional. My steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were impossibly large and I was disappointed that I could not finish because it was so good. And then I got to dessert.....to die for. A chocolate box full of double cream and strawberries and top with a toffee lattice was superb. Not too expensive either.
