On our visit the food was very nice and the service polite and efficient. The red curry duck was delicious.

Food: I expected quite a lot as there are a lot of good reviews, but I was disappointed. I ordered the red curry duck and soft shell crab. They lack of flavour which I usually find in other restaurants. Some crab was not fresh with some weird taste that couldn't be covered by the sauce. The ambience was alright, u can choose to sit outside or inside.

Service was slow and lack of warmth. Yes, I was given with water when I was seated, but they lack of smile (just make you feel that their boss ask them to do so but they are not willing to). If you say that it is busy, yes but with around 4 staff, that should be enough and it doesn't mean that you can give them water, by the time they want to order/ pay. All they can do is 'wait'.

Price is reasonable, there is no complain with it. But I am not coming back.

Staff were very friendly and made what was a dreadful dining experience almost bearable. The food was a disgrace however, the whole fish was so dry it was inedible.

Always consistent, but the real offering for as customers is the value for money and the customer service.

We have been eating at this venue for a number of years and have never had a single dish that was below average, disappointed or otherwise. It is consistently good, and offers fresh ingredients, with a smile. A must to try!

Always a pleasant dining experience here. The food is always just right no matter what I order, and I absolutely adore the saffron rice and the fact that you can just flag them down for more rice at any time. The outdoor area is like a tropical oasis. Ornate forks and knives and the artwork creates a great atmosphere.The only negative feedback is that sometimes it gets too crowded and if there are large groups the chatter can be quite deafening but that's just the sound of people enjoying this wonderful restaurant so that's a good sign.

Mixed experience. First visit was good. On the second occasion, we ordered whole snapper in green apple salad. The fish was claimed to be 600 g but we believe it was 500 g. Just too small for this type of dish. 70% of volume was head, tail and bones. The waiter was aggressive when we pointed out that we were unhappy. The manager was reasonable but gave us some “b/s” story about the customer preference for 600 g fish. They did not reduce the bill. No class.

My partner and I have been dining at Star of Thailand for the past 5 years. We have never left the venue feeling less than content with the food and service. The red curry duck is a must! The staff will succeed in making your dining experience feel 5 star.

Had food delivered from this restaurant last night and was not disappointed. Although their chicken and cashew nut was a little bland and missing that usual sweetness in the sauce, the soft shell crab was delicious (although probably a better meal to order at the restaurant as the batter was a little soggy by the time it was delivered) and the lamb panang curry was to die for! The meat was so tender and the curry so creamy, yum! There are so many things that sound good on the menu for this restaurant, I will definitely be back.
