I am so surprised to read any bad reviews of this restaurant! My husband and I have been there quite a few times now and think it's terrific. The food has always been perfect and we love listening to the piano man playing and singing in the background. You would perhaps not expect to find such a classy restaurant in the local pub at Seven Hills but I can highly recommend it!

Ordered a T-bone steak with pepper sauce served with a side of salad. The steak and pepper sauce was perfect in all ways.

The salad was inedible, the cucumber had turned gelatinous and had a mushy consistency. It was served in a separate bowl so it wasn't the heat of the steak that turned it this way. When brought to the attention of the waiter, he informed me that the salad dressing makes cucumber turn that way. If this is the case, wonder what the salad dressing is doing to our insides. No attempt was made to reconcile the salad.

They also have somebody playing a grand piano which really adds to the ambience. The ambience of the restaurant is slightly spoiled a little by the connecting pub.

This is the most expensive pub food in the area, which I would happily pay if the food was of reasonable quality.

Very very average, RSL-type-food at huge prices. We began with the garlic bread - this, to me, is always one of The biggest indicators of what a chef can/will do. The bread was all wrong, the garlic was from a jar and it was dripping in margarine. Not a good start. My husband had the BBQ octopus which was teamed with tzaziki, very strange combination! I had the "crispy" skin duck which tasted like it had been sitting under a grill for a lo-o-o-o-ng time. My advice, don't bother. Go to the club for half the price and same food.

What a disappointment! We have dined here many times in the past and have recommended it to others. But last Saturday was just inexcusable. We phoned ahead for a booking which could not be found and when we were finally seated we were left without menus or drinks for 30 mins. We asked for a menu but eventually left in disgust as we had no more time to waste. This was a return visit after a few months absence as the last time my husband and I ate here he had a drink thrown over him as the couple at the next table had an argument and he just happened to be in the line of fire - no acknowledgement or assistance from staff then but we decided this was just bad luck and we would give the restaurant another go. Unfortunately this place seems to have lost the plot altogether. The place seemed to be very understaffed on Saturday and they simply were unable to cope. Will not be going back! Can't comment on the food as we weren't served.

Let's not be precious here, this is a pub. In the heart of the Greater Western suburbs. Yet, they have attempted to offer a fine dining menu, a 'wait-to-be seated' serious restaurant offer with seating for 120+. OK, have a crack at this for dinner, but really, for lunch? There's no burgers, no specials or light & cheap offerings. The best you'll do is a couple of pasta options, or one style of pizza, for $15. The other lunch options are at full-blown restaurant prices. It's Friday, well after midday, and the restaurant is deserted and it's no wonder. Anyway, I ordered the garlic prawns for $17.50. This came in a steel pot, about 10 medium sized in total, done in oil and not to garlicky. This came with a plain bowl of steamed rice. I do admit tasty, but uninspiring and quite drab. As a pub they've missed the mark, in my view their offering is off-kilter.

One of my favourites in the area. Do yourself a favour and try the Satay Prawns as a main. Fantastic thick and spicy satay sauce with fresh prawns and a nice hint of corriander. The leek tartlet is also exceptional. Frequent often and always a good hearty meal. A very surprising little find in Seven Hills. Highly recommended.

The best food I ever had is here. So, guys not joking. If you want to have best food just drop here at St Patrick Tavern, gem on seven hill. Can't wait to go back again. Going tomorrow now and then with friends and family. I had a chicken breast which was fantastic. My friends had lamb, surf n turf, duck, ribs which was just amazing by their views.

What to say about dessert wow, Strawberry crepes, banana crepes, Sticky dates and blue berry brulee, just amazing. Well done guys of St Patrick Tavern. Keep it up.

There is a sign saying wait to be seated, I waited 5 minutes and I seated myself. It looked like there was only 1 waitress and the bar person came over to help out. The staff were polite. I believe its not the staff's fault, its just they don't have any staff! The waitress looked like she was running around like a headless chicken.

The food itself was ok, nothing special for myself. Prices are what I expected, a $15 lunch is reasonably priced. The ambience has a feel of a local rsl. Waiting at the front with no one to greet you is very very bad. If no one can be there, they shouldn't have that sign there. A disappointing experience.

"All good things must come to an end." My partner and I have dined here at least 6 times, and enjoyed the good old fashioned food and hospitality. Tonight, however, has changed our minds. It has tainted our memory of our local "winner."

For entree we always share the Bruschetta. The last 2 occasions have included a tremendous amount of chili in the vinegar mix. This is a traditional bruschetta combination, so I do not understand the reasoning for chili in the first place. The chili took over every other flavour and burnt our palates.

My main was the special Chicken Breast with Virginian Ham and Cheese. The waitress told us that it would take 20 minutes to cook, which we did not mind at all. My partner chose the Rib Eye steak. Both plates were served at the same time. Mine was piping hot, and my partner's was cooler then room temperature. The chef's timing was obviously off. We were the first table of the night (6 pm) so I cannot excuse that faux pas.

My partner and I are so sad that we don't have the tav anymore. The waitress apologised on behalf of the chef, but whilst paying our bill he had ample opportunity to talk to us.

Very good meal, but we ordered a bottle of wine which, when it came, had already been opened and was not the wine as shown on the label. They did change the bottle, but I was very surprised that a restaurant would try this on.
