Worst restaurant I have ever been to. Chicken tikka was overcooked, chewy and burnt. Samosas were out of a packet, cold and doughy. Mains were unlike any Indian I have ever had, made with a very strange mix of spices and vegetables that did not match your usual korma or any other curry for that matter. The fact the restaurant was empty should have been a give away. I have never written on a website like this before but felt compelled to do so after such a disappointing experience.

The best indian food ever had! love spices forever. It is owned by a family where the husband is the head chef, wife working in nursing home and a little smart gal helping out. Its really hard to keep up this business like that. Food is delicious and we have a choice for spicy or mild. The only think I would point out is the signout "buffey " but they are actually planning to change it quickly. Once again Spices is the best.

Just look for the "Lunch Buffey" sign out the front on Pennant Hills road. Cracks me up every time I read it! Good, all round Indian and nice service too.

Attended with the family, toddlers and a baby. Service was friendly, the food was most pleasant and the place was comfortable. I will be going again, and I look forward to trying the weekend buffet, or as their sign out the front says, "buffey".

Went to Spices as our Favourite restaurant down the road was closed. We had the Chicken cutlet which was very dry. We returned it to the kitchen but we still got a dry one as a replacement.

Spices is like the best restaurant in sydney, they organized a new year party on the 1st of jan 2012 with grand buffet and bollywood music it was excellent! The food was yummy. Even the bathrooms are pretty clean to be honest, most of the indian restaurants are not clean. Service was marvelous.may god bless spices the indian cuisine. Am sure they will be one of the best restaurant in australia within few years.

The food is the worst Indian food my husband and I have ever had, the tandoori chicken and tandoori chops for entree were really tasteless, no flavor certainly not tandoori cooked, the restaurant had 6 people on a Saturday night, there was a party upstairs, the mains tasted like they just had chilli flavouring, the waitresses were very friendly but the food was just appalling even the raita had no flavour, would never set foot there every again, enormous quantities but no quality.

The food is pretty good and very fresh though it can taste a bit alike at times. The price is better than reasonable (especially considering the quality of the food which is above excellent). The service is also brilliant. The restaurant can be empty sometimes and the decor can do with a refurb but I guess they tick all the boxes where it matters (ie the food and service). Will definitely return.

We dined at Spices on Mother's Day night. The service was good considering the busy night. Our family group of 3 had the Dakshin vegetarian samosas to start, crisp and tasty and not at all doughy!

We shared 3 mains: Kairalee fish curry, firm pieces of fish, not at all soft and mushy in a quite high heat curry. Roasted masala lamb curry, with a lovely smoky note to the lamb, again not overcooked and tough. Calicut chicken biriyani, perhaps, a bit dry, but a nice counterpoint to the hot fish curry.
Mango kulfi, tasty and refreshing. Nan bread and great fluffy rice, a total bill of $65.60, or under $22/ head for a very tasty dinner of quality produce, that is Great value!

I would definitely recommend Spices. My family and I eat there very often and the food is always delicious with a very fresh and authentic blend of spices which is far superior to the majority of Indian restaurants. The portions are very generous and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is definitely value for money. Try the Bindi with Vegetable Dopiaza and the Lamb Palak, it's delicious!
