Love this place, food is amazing, tasty and filling and staff very friendly and attentive. The decor is a little plain but a minor thing to fault. Byo is a bonus. Nice and quiet so you can converse easily with your dinner date/s. Food is so filling, dont need to order much. Well done spice if life we will keep coming back!

What a nightmare, never again! Got there and made a booking for 6 pm. Got there 5:55 pm and asked for our table, the waiter seemed confused and told us there is no booking under our name! As the restaurant was empty with no one else, I asked him if we could sit anywhere, he told us All of the tables are (apparently) booked out, he asked us if we wanted to come again at 7 pm or sit outside.

Because we were hungry so we said we will sit out side (in the cold). I then asked the waiter to turn on the heating lamp outside, he left us with menus and disappeared. The tables outside were dirty, had empty coke cans, curry on the table, scrunched up napkins etc. We had decided what we wanted to order, and through the glass window we were trying to get his attention. We waited and waited… 15 minutes later my partner walked inside and grabbed another waiter who came and took our order and finally cleaned the table.

We had ordered entrée, mains and drinks. The drinks took 30 minutes to arrive After ordering (what is so hard to bring a coke can?), the entrée took 50 minutes to arrive after ordering, and the main came 1 hour after ordering (only had 10 minutes to eat the entrée in a hurry so the main doesn’t get cold, very bad timing). Really disappointing as we were the only ones there and still had to wait so long with hardly any service.

Nobody had checked up on us to see if we were okay. By the time we finished eating (food was average – bit too oily and creamy than other Indian restaurants) around 7:30 pm, there was no one else that had arrive for their so called reservations inside the restaurant. Poor management, Poor Service. We just paid and left, Never Again.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed eating at the Spice of Life. The food was of a good quality and delivered in a timely manner. We had a mix of curries, dosa and tali and all were very satisfying. We did have two small criticisms with the service however. Firstly we did find it a bit difficult to get the attention of the wait staff in making our order. Secondly they delivered the mains shortly after delivering the starters, giving us little time to actually savour the starters.

25/12/10 We have been back a few times now and each time it just gets better, the food is superb, service attentive, and fantastic value for $.

29/08/10 Booked and went with friends, who have been a number of times before. Great little restaurant, food was great and all in all we enjoyed ourselves.

My husband and I love this place! we have ordered take away and have dined in. The staff are friendly and the food is great. It does have a take away kind of feel but the most important thing is that the food is delicious. We have recommended this place to others and they have also been impressed by the food.

Cheap, clean and delicious! For someone who was sceptical because the place looked a bit plain and take-away-ish, I was very pleasantly surprised. I've been back 3 times now in as many weeks and each time I take new friends which have all raved about the food and friendly staff and all have said they'd love to go back again.

My partner and I have been here many a time! we have no issue for the time it takes to get the food! yeah it might take a bit longer! after all I'm there to eat! I have never had a bad meal there! but every time I have been there I walk out happy as the food is cheap and bloody good!

Nothing great about this place, I tried take away for the first time, I live in woolongong but have been visiting Campbelltown Hospital to see my friend for last 3 weeks, she is getting better now. Well Well this place is Ok, food was not the best from what I have had before. Curries were sweet and all tasted the same. My medium beef korma had sweet sauce with chilli powder in it. Bad move.

There was not any waitstaff, counter person himself was serving and a table of four was literally starving while waiting for the food. I am glad I took take away.
I don't mind going back if I have less money to spend and not in a mood of having something really yummy.

Take away food is wrapped in foil which kept it piping hot dor the drive home. Vindaloo was nice but meat a bit tough. Despite there being very few customers we had to wait 30 minutes for our take away to be ready. Will try dining in at some stage to check out some other menu items. Food is on the pricey side for Indian.

What a nightmare! When we arrived there was a group of four seated and when we asked for a table we were told that he "thought" the other tables were booked. We asked if we could sit outside to which the waiter said "if you want to" in a rather disinterested way, we should've known it wasn't going to go well then.

We sat outside and ordered almost straight away. I cannot say how long we waited for that meal! It seems like an absolute eternity. I have never waited that long for a meal. Literally dozens of people came in and ordered takaway, got their food and left. I don't consider myself an impatient person and never before have I wanted to get up and leave before a meal comes. I wish I had but my husband wanted to wait it out.

We had our children with us and they were hungry and when you have hungry children you can't take a chance that the meal will come out the minute you leave. Another couple near us who were also sitting outside had to call someone to explain that they would be late meeting them. A young waitress seemed concerned about our wait but the management didn't give a damn. When I was literally demanding my husband to give up and leave the meal finally came. What a joke! The portions were tiny! The rice was enough for one person.

The end result being curries with no rice to eat them with! When my husband went in to pay the waiter made no apology whatsoever. I hadn't brought my wallet with me, so I left it to my husband to pay. Lucky for them because had I gone in they would have heard exactly how I felt. Also in the time we sat outside not one of the tables inside ever got filled by the patrons who had supposedly booked them. Never, Never again! Do not go here!
