Came here on Friday night and was very disappointed. Having been here before I had high expectations, however, these were let down. Ordered the shared tapas platter for 2 and from our experience will not be going back again. The chicken was re-heated and hardly warm, the meatballs flavourless and rest of the platter consisted only of fried chorizo and potatoes absolutely drenched in garlic sauce. Only positive was that the Sangria was nice! Will not return definitely better Spanish places out there.

We had a despidida and birthday dinner on 2Dec11. Initially, I booked a banquet menu for 10 but another person came along but arrived very late. There was no additional food for the extra person but additional charges was put on. The tapas were ok, the main - paella and BBQ meat was a disappointment. The paella looks like it was not cooked individually. It looks like it was scooped from another pan.
The barbeque meat was dry and it was not enough. For 11 pax, we were served two paella plate (good for 4) and a 2 plates of meat - 2 piece of rib, a chicken breast, 1 skewer and several sausages. We had to bring our own dessert. Sorry but I can't recommend the restaurant.

This is simply the best spanish food I have had in sydney yet and I have eaten at quite a few spanish places. I had the mixed grill with my partner and it was delicious. Next time I will be having the mixed tapas platter. Yum!

I took a friend from overseas here for dinner on a saturday night and while they did loose our reservation they found a seat with no trouble. We ordered tapas, garlic prawns, chorizo and calamari, all were very tasty. The sangria was good too, just the right mix of everything. We had the lamb cutlets and pork for mains and both just melted in your mouth! Never had pork that tender before was very impressed I will be going back.

I had heard mixed reviews from that place but was in the mood for Spanish food while we spent the weekend in Sydney. We got there on a Saturday night and they had lost our reservation. As it wasn't full, the manager came and seated us anyway which was nice. However, it was freezing in that restaurant and we kept our jackets on.
It took ages for the waitress to come and take our drink order. We went for the Sangria jug which was quite weak and too filled up with lemonade. We went for the ensaladilla rusa (potato salad) and the chicken croquettes as a starter. I had the lamb rack as a main, my partner the special (braised beef cheeks).
It was quite a big sized tapas but still overpriced for the quality of food. It tasted bland and not to what I'm used to from living in Spain for quite a while. (or even other Spanish restaurants in Melbourne!).
After quite a wait, our mains arrived. My lamb rack was cooked medium as I ordered it and it was seasoned well. The mash and redwine jus were tasty as well. The green beans were undercooked and had a weird taste to them. My partner's dish (beef cheeks) was way too oily but the meat was very tender.
As it was still freezing in there we didn't get dessert and just asked for the bill.
Wouldn't recommend going there and definitely won't be back. We ended up paying $135 for the two mains, two tapas, a jug of sangria, an extra glass of sangria and a Spanish red. Too overpriced for the quality of food we actually get. For only 30$ more we had a feast somewhere else and it was amazing! So no recommendation for Spanish Terrazas.

After reading some of the reviews, I really wasn't looking forward to dining here, however, it was a good friend's birthday so I had to come.
The good, our table was ready with corn chips, salsa, bread rolls and the jugs of sangria as promised, it looked very festive and we were quite excited, the restaurant was also packed which I took as a good sign. We also had a very pleasant waitress, we didn't have to wait too long between courses and there was a Lot of food, much more than I expected and everyone at the table was very well fed.
After our meal, the Restaurant sent the Birthday Girl a slice of Cheesecake with a sparkler and the band played Happy Birthday, the cake was very tasty, but at otherwise $12 a slice I would hope so. I thought this was a really nice thing to do.
The bad, well the restaurant is pretty tacky and although we were promised a live band and a dance floor, the small square of floor was way too small and busy to actually serve as a dancefloor, it was also part of the thoroughfare in and out of the kitchen. The band was pretty dated and really, really very loud, so much so we had to shout to each other to be heard.
The food is ordinary at best, canned champignons, supermarket chorizo (actually that stuff tastes better), frozen calamari which was soggy by the time it got to our table, the patatas bravas were smothered in home brand mayonnaise, you get the picture.
For the mains, a hefty serving of meats which were very well done bordering on chewy but not completely lacking in flavour. I did, however, enjoy the paella, it could have done with a bit more flavour but was otherwise well cooked. Another plus point, one of the guest's was gluten-intolerant, our waitress brought out a very generous (but again tasteless) plate of food for her as all the other tapas were not suitable.
Would I dine there again, no, however, I did have a pleasant night, the waitstaff were pleasant, and the food was abundant. And the restaurant was packed so I guess there are many diner's that are happy with the formula.

Love the paella. Absolutely delicious. I go to this place all the time and really enjoy it. The service is great and the head waiter is a really cool friendly guy. I usually go with a friend and share the seafood chicken paella and its more than enough. The sangria is also very good.

Lived in Spain for a while and love tapas. Finally found a place with perfectspainsh omelette. Yummy. Garlic prawns were a treat, however, not enough. Chicken croquettes were also perfect. Sangria was nice and refreshing with a lovely flavour. Service nice and friendly, will be back for sure.
