Impressive. The food was great, it came out quickly and was delicious. We ordered 4 dishes + dips and 2 cocktails. Couldn't fault anything.

Ambience was fine, not too noisy, just dark enough to give that feeling of cosiness. The service was amazing, cheerful friendly staff, iced water poured instantly on arrival and extremely efficient waiting.

Value - Possibly a little expensive for tapas, however, due to the quality of food and service this is a non-issue.

Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed everything but the price at The Spanish Fly. Their dips were amazing especially the beetroot dip. The Paella balls were bland but the rest was great! The staff were very friendly and I really appreciated that they asked if we had a movie or something to go to so they knew whether they should rush our order. Would recommend trying 'The Spanish Fly' Cocktail while you are there.

The food was awful especially the lamb and very very small servings. The prices were quite high for what you get. I would not go to this restaurant again or recommend it for anything other than Friday night drinks. The service of the waiters was good. The other Spanish restaurant is fantastic.

The Spanish Fly is neither here nor there, but, perhaps, worth me giving it another try and ordering the fave dishes of our friendly waiter such as the king prawns or the lamb. I'd go back for the mushies, chicken and zucchini flowers alone. For a not so extensive menu, there were quite a few seafood dishes.

Great night at the Spanish fly. Amazing food and excellent service, with a fantastic atmosphere. I've been living in Randwick for years now and was put off tapas after going to the other spanish restaurant in the spot. Can't remember its name, but the Spanish Fly is completely different - will definitely recommend it!

Been here numerous times on a Sat night and always very worthwhile. Great dishes and great service, always nice big glasses of there house red and quite rowdy on a sat night but this adds to the atmosphere.

Spanish fly is easily the best restaurant in the spot. Everytime I have visited I have experienced amazing food and fantastic service! It gets really busy on the weekend but I haven't had to wait longer than half an hour for a table. The bar at the ritz is great for a quick drink while waiting for a table looking over the spot! The Galician octopus and the mishtaki steak skewers are my absolute favorites dishes. Cocktails are the bomb as well!

Went here on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago. Made a booking for 8 pm, turned up and time, and were told that our table wasn't ready. We waited 15 minutes and were told we could sit in the 'lounge' area (cushioned benches) around an awkwardly low coffee table. We said yes, but it still took them forever to set it up. We noticed a free table, and went to demand that we have that one, as our name was at the top of the reservation list and we noticed that they were letting 'walk in's' in ahead of us.

It took us until 8.30 pm to be seated, and we had a 9.20 pm movie to see, barely made it in time. The food is actually very good, even if the portions are on the small side, and over-priced. However, since the service was So bad, it's going to take a long while before I go back there.

The waitstaff seemed timid. They didn't seem to know the menu. The mushrooms were wonderful and the fish was very nice.

I've been to Spanish Fly twice now, and my verdict is boring food, terrible service. First time I went there was a Friday evening, food and service were average, but they were busy so the service wasn't a huge issue in my mind. Went there again recently on a Saturday so it was very quiet. The staff act as though service (even getting the menus) is a huge inconvenience. There were also bugs in 2 of the drinks we ordered. Food was average, with the exception of the meatballs. They're delicious!
