Went here the other Saturday with a small group of friends, the place was very busy and a popular place. We were very happy with our food. Didn't expect such good food for something local. Definitely come back to try other dishes.

The service was very good, our food came out promptly even though it was really busy and the staff were very helpful. Will be back!

Very cute, cosy little mexican restaurant. Within walking distance to the most amazing chili conqueso dip and a bucket of coronas. Friendly happy staff, can't ask for more than that from a local Mex. See you soon.

Went to have dinner here on Saturday night. It was hot out side and thought a restaurant might be cooler. This was totally the wrong idea, the tables were cramped together and with slow fans trying to cool down the place it wasn't very comfortable at all. We ordered the set menu for min of 4 people, since there was only four of us this sounded good.

The garlic bread came out and we had a baby cockroach ran out of the basket. Ruled that out as just a freak thing. The remaining food came out with now unexpected visitors but for buying something for a serving of four everything was divided into 6. So very strange that the items were not just cut into 4.

The food was bland at best. Nothing to write about because there wasn't anything good about it. Thank goodness that the service was extremely fast so we could actually be out in less thasn an hour so we could go outside to the cooler weather than inside the restaurant.

I took the gorgeous wife and my cherubs here and unlike other restaurants which treat your cherubs like second rate citizens here they really make the kids feel welcome and meals for the kids come out quick and taste great!

My meal at Somberors last night was my single worst dining experience in Sydney.

The food was straight out of Old El Paso packets, poorly prepared and it was late. It took 90 minutes to receive this slop, while bizarrely tables that arrived well after we did got their meals before us and tables that arrived before we did had to wait longer...no explanation offered.

There was one lovely waitress who is deserving of a better place of employ, while the second waitress was surly and constantly messed up both drinks and meal orders for us and all the tables around us. If you after either decent Mexican or service, I suggest you look elsewhere.

We went to Somberos after a very long break, there looks to be new owners and all new staff, the girl who served us was helpful, friendly and very funny, we noticed she treated all customers like this which was great.

There was a few large parties and I was there with just two other friends and although we shared our waitress with the larger groups we did not seem to notice her disappear.

The Chilli con queso is amazing and also the chicken quesadilla, I, unfortunately, did not get one for myself and with only a bite of some one elses I can't wait to go back. The decor is pretty lame, and the female toilets are very clean but I heard the mens are questionable.

Overall it was a great place, and we had a great time can't wait to go back this saturday to try the fajitas.

Went here with my buddy Steve and the kids for dinner on Friday night. Nothing too special to rave about but as there are not too many Mexican to choose from in the area you have to take what you get. We ordered some garlic bread to start and 2 very small pieces came out and we thought they were playing a joke on us but that was it, unfortunately. We both had the combo plates at $29.00 each and they were pretty good and the tacos on the plate had nice flavor.

Both kids had chicken and chips $9.50 just your regular fare. This place was clean and I can't say too much negative stuff about it but its not a place you would rush back too as your favorite place.

Most recently, my chicken was completely uncooked, friends say there enchiladas were okay. Used to go here often but not since the chicken experience.

Had dinner tonight with 12 other family members, took nearly 75 minutes for the food to come, it came in batches (the first of the group were finished by the time the last arrived), and was amongst the poorest Mexican that I have ever had. The service matched and it wasn't cheap, at around $40 a head. All up, about the worst restaurant I have been to in a decade, stay away!

Hmmm. Mexican food can always be a bit of a hit or miss and this place is definitely one to miss.

Food here is pretty ordinary. I had been here previously and it wasn't too bad but this time it wasn't nice at all. Food tasted very bland and the meat was less than appealing. This is not a place you go to for a nice Mexican experience. There are a lot better mexican restaurants around.
