The curries are nice (although the duck curry could use a little more duck and I'd gladly pay more for it), the sago is *fantastic*, but I absolutely LOVE the Banana Flower Salad. I am addicted to it and I must have it at least once a week, so I keep coming back. Tried other things on the menu, and it's all good. Order and pay at the counter, and don't rearrange the tables.. or there will be trouble! Once you figure out that the place is great for a quick meal and not to hang around at for three hours, it all makes sense. One of my favorites!
The little stools are really uncomfortable, but that would be a tac-tic to get the place to turn over, it's tiny. The food is always very good and the service is neat and tidy. I'm so happy I still get to enjoy RQ food but at a price much easier on the pocket. I mostly get take away now ;)
The food is ok but the staff is really unhelpful. I asked him if I could get some food without a particular ingredient (they did it for me several times when he's not here) but he refused to do it telling me that is it already made and better get something else. I don't think I will go back
This is a small but cute restaurant with friendly service. I found that the food isn't that great (or fresh) but it's value for money. Plus, there's no corkage charge.
Excellent value food at a great price. The stools aren't the most comfortable but I think it's the good and cheap food they are trying to push. The fan/ light sends me a little bananas so don't look up if you have epilepsy. A favourite.
This place is amazing. People paid 2 or 3 times the price for similar food at RQ (Chef Nyut's former establishment). The RQ menu has pared back here to the basics and the food is still excellent at just a bit over $10 a plate. I only gave the place a 6 for service but that is not a criticism but just acknowledging that you are not paying for fine dining attention, the people here are great, warm and welcoming, same applies with the ambience score. Go, love it and get out again with change in your pocket.
