There is a really good barista currently there from Slovakia, Christine, although on the other hand there is a woman who made me seem like a fool in front of other patrons this morning. I'd only been going there for over 2 years and she made it out as if I ordered something different to what I had been ordering for the past 2 years!! Think I will pass in future now that Chris is also leaving. I hope the owner reads this.

Being one of the few cafes on the main Oxford St, this place is always packed. However, even when I was a lone diner on 2 occasions, I was treated politely (as much as a bustling Sat lunch crowd will allow) and given a table. It is also one of the few places in the area that serves huevos rancheros, which is always a bonus!

I liked the eggs with mint and fetta and also the pumpkin soup which is very hearty with unexpected ingredients, and not the bland creamy gunk you get elsewhere.

If you're a coffee aficionado then I suggest you stay away from Oxford St, because the crowd here comes for meals with friends and to shop afterwards and not just for premium beans to plug a hangover the morning after.

Appaling service. Went there for breakfast early on a Saturday when the courtyard was barely one-third full; yet the courtyard filled, ate and practically emptied again by the time we were served our meals! It took the waiters a further 30 minutes to clear our table, despite clearing the tables around us and us desperately trying to get their attention.

We ordered our coffees "to go" (by now we were running late). When we were erroneously charged an additional 10% weekend surcharge for takeaway coffee, I was told there was nothing I could do about it, the cashier dismissed me with 'Too bad, there is no way to change it"! Avoid this place, and the horrible staff like a virus.

My overall view on this place is "FAB". Am Irish and was delighted to hear an Irish voice serving me. Food was amazing and the prices were good compared to other well over the top spots on Oxford St.

I haven't been to Sloanes for a while and I was very impressed with their latest menu, the salt and pepper calamari is to die for and the Frappe's are soooo refreshing. The service was great and it was a great way to end my weekend being pampered. I'll be back for sure.
