I was at Slide on Easter sunday night. I was absolutely shocked by my experience of this Sydney establishment. Several things came to my attention. We were greeted at the door, not searched. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were treated like guests. The staff were friendly, funny and extremely attentive. What a change from the usual Oxford St attitude and Sydney service in general. Fantastic! I'll be back for more.

Stunning room, very sexy staff.

The food was a bit of a let down. The room, staff and short but good wine list got me quite excited and built up my expectations. I was disappointed by the food. My partner had the garlic prawns very over cooked and so much garlic he stank for three days and my duck pancakes were dry and not that tasty. The mains, salmon and the beef were OK not great.

Drink prices were good and the staff were great. I think just teething problems guys, once your kitchen is up to speed it will be a great venue at all hours.

Yay for a new place to go on Oxford. Slide is gorgeous inside.. It's bright, modern, classy and colourful. It's the sort of place I would go to meet everyone and have a few pre-going out drinks.
