Must agree with most of the commentary below, this is a good place for a quick bite but do not expect warm service or a blow your mind meal. Given it is always super busy, you are treated quickly and without much attention, enough to get by.

The yum cha is pretty good and if you know what you want and like a bit of variety, it is worth it. Had the rice noodles with prawns, wontons, beans in some sauce (black bean maybe), calamari and steamed dumplings. Enjoyed all of them for what they are, nice clean flavours but minus any wonderful fireworks. Dishes were warm but not overly hot, understandable I guess given the amount they churn out.

The mango pancakes are Fabulous, worth alone a visit! Finish on these and the other sins are completely forgotten. Room is a bit bland, lots of grey and has a frenzied atmosphere but it goes with the yum cha territory.

Since it re-opened it seems to have become the trendy dim sum location (Could be basking in the limelight of its neighbours such as Becasse in the Westfield centre). As it is newer, the ambience is somewhat better than many other yum cha restaurants.

On the several occasions I have been there, the service was slow and the staff a bit pushy trying to unload the trolleys. A number of the dishes were lukewarm and in the case of the roast duck, totally cold. It's Ok. but there are better for service and quality of food. I hope the restaurant continues to be popular. It might reduce the wait at the others nearby.

The food was good a bit pricey. The service is awful though! They gave us the bill without us asking for it. And came to pick up the bill when we were still eating. The kitchen also made a mistake with our order. I wouldn't go back just because of the bad service.

I have long been a Phoenix chain restaurant supporter, so we booked our Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner at Sky Phoenix thinking that it will be a decent pleasant meal. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disaster. The meal was quite average, but it's not worth complaining about. The service on the other hand was way below standard. Both the male floor manager who took the order and the service staff were impolite and inattentive to say the least. What's more, the restaurant wasn't even packed on the night. If it was any other day, I would have let it pass, but not on Chinese New Year’s Eve when every other Chinese restaurant is putting up their best performance. We spent close to $500 on food alone for 5 adults and at the end of the meal there wasn't even compliment sweats and fruit? Come on, Sky Phoenix. Surely you can at least be on par with Manly Phoenix and Rhodes Phoenix! I know my family and I are never going to you again.

Very bad service. Me and my husband went there for a sunday lunch. The food was standard and a bit pricey. The sky phoenix at rhodes was better with the quality of the food and service.

My husband asked for a fork at the beginning of the meal since he does not know how to use chopstick, but ended up using chopstick, anyway, as the waiters forgot about it. Same as the water we asked the same waiter, didn't end up having it too.

Waiters were rude and lazy, ignoring us and saying they would come back but ended up serving other tables and stand in the corner doing nothing after and totally forgotten about us.

The variety of food in the trolley is not much, compared to the one in rhodes. I've been on the same resto, same time at their busiest but the one in westfield really disgust both me and my husband experience. Thinking my friends wedding venue is there next year, I wonder if we're gonna have the same experience again.

Went here for lunch on Sunday for Yum Cha as have not been to Sky Phoenix since it reopened. We used to go all the time for Sunday lunch and it was the benchmark that we would compare other yum cha restaurants against as they used to be the best in Sydney.

It is sad that they now have a very poor selection of standard dumplings, bbq and fried foods when in the past you would go here and always get something new or different. Most of the food was cold and tasted like it has been on the trolley for 1 hour and between 2 of us we had 3 x dumplings dishes, snake beans, noodles, sesame custard balls and tea to drink and I am struggle to see how they could justify charging $77 for the amount and quality of the food as we could have eaten in the food court and had better quality food.

We were not the only ones in bill shock as we noticed 2 other tables that left before us with the same reactions. Would I return no way!

Shockingly bad service, rude waitresses. So noisy even in a private room that you cannot hold down a conversation. Food was just plain old yum cha, everything was bland not one dish added a 'lift' to the experience. My suggestion is that you try another place for yum cha!

Best yum cha in town! The dumplings are always very fresh and tasty, the roast duck comes de-boned and the service is decent comparing to similar restaurants. Try the snake beans and the crab if you have a chance!

Had dinner here last night with a couple of work mates and the place was massive inside and the food were quite nice. We ordered special fried rice with fried salt and pepper soft shell crabs with hot pot and peking duck. The price was a bit pricey and the service can be a bit better. I liked the qantas frequent flyer points program at this place.

The yum cha range and quality is pretty standard. There's not much vegetarian range through with most "vegetarian" dumplings containing prawn/shrimp. We got the pancakes which are always good.

The service was good, no problem. The place is not too crowded or noisy, although it is a bit dark with the black walls and high ceilings. May go again, but might as well go closer to home (Rhodes Phoenix) or Eastwood.
