Overview of Skewerz Barbecue

We are Australia’s first restaurant chain specialising in halal Seekh Kebabs and Tikkas. Inspired by the foodstreets of Lahore and Mumbai, we are barbecue enthusiasts with a sub-continental twist.

All we do is Seekh Kebabs, Chicken Tikkas, Lamb Tikkas, Bhajia, Masala Chai and Mango Lassi.

Street food doesn’t get much better than the centuries old traditions inherent in the dusty streets of India and Pakistan. Our recipes go back several generations. They are tried and tested and have finally found a commercial home at Skewerz Barbecue.

As founders of Skewerz Barbecue, and being of Pakistani and Indian decent, we had the perfect target market in mind when planning for our menu – Ourselves! We wanted a place in Australia, where we could drop in for terrific, honest, authentic sub-continental kebabs – and there was none to be found. So we decided to set up Skewerz Barbecue.

Great food and Very good value, fed 4 for under $50! Fast friendly service. Only improvement they can make: ensure the food comes out a little hotter. Ours was a little cold for our liking. Will definitely eat there again soon!

Such a great place, no where near your average kebab joint: fresh, tasty meats and yummy bhajia - a fried potato type thing which beats chips hands down - unique as far as I know. Convenient location right near the bus stop but quieter spots to sit on the inside as well. A winner.
