Was extremely unimpressed with this place. Upon arrival we were greeted by quite a rude waitress, who immediately barked at us to hurry up and order and pay before we had even sat down (which, for their sake they are lucky... would have refused to pay for this garbage had we been given the option to pay after!). We bought 2 main meals between us, in addition to 2 salad bar meals. I ordered a mini seafood platter, and my partner a rump steak.

As a person who Hates buffets, I didn't have particularly high expectations for the salad bar, but alas I gave it a go anyway. I opted for some coleslaw and a chicken, mango and almond salad. Both barely felt refrigerated and tasted like they had been left out overnight, disgusting, had 2 mouthfuls and then put my plate to the side and silently hoped our mains would be better.

Our mains finally arrived after waiting for close to half an hour, my partner's steak was ridiculously overcooked, and my so called 'mini seafood platter' was just a pile of deep fried muck that had clearly been sitting in the freezer for the last few weeks. Again, we had a couple bites off our plates and then pushed it to the side, promptly left and picked up some fast food on the way home instead.

All in all, this place was just a horrible all round experience and stupidly overpriced for the quality of food you receive. Will not be returning. Ever.

Having eaten here years ago and not being impressed I wasn't expecting much. However, this time my steak was superb, the salad bar had a wide variety of yummy food and I loved the desserts. Everything was immaculately clean and food supplies regularly topped up. It was definitely great value for money at under $50 for two including drinks. Staff were friendly but as it is mostly self serve did not have that much contact with them.

Didn't try the steaks was shocked when I seen how expensive the steaks were. We got 2 salad all you can eat, Cost us about $50 for two+ 2 drinks. We each had a couple of bites and that was it, Very disappointed, Spent $50 and ended up getting maccas on the way home.

Delicious salads, pasta, soup and desserts. The salads are great. The staff are friendly but there's always a queue to be seated, even when there are many empty tables.

For the money they charge for a meal and the all you can eat salad you can go to a proper cafe/restaurant and get proper food and not pay so much. Its very loud and very busy. The service was good, I suppose the only good thing about Sizzler.
I won't be going back. Next time I would go to a proper cafe/restaurant and eat proper food.

Always nice food, good service and great salad pasta soup bar to choose from. Family Friendly and great value for $.

I don't know why it's called "Modern Australian" here as nothing is more US-American than those all-you-can eat buffet restaurants. I love Sizzler as it's the only one that made it to Australia though over in the US it's the worst of the lot.

You get a mediocre steak plus a quite extensive all-you can-eat bar with salads, nachos and stuff like that. For an extra few bucks you can include all-you-can drink soft drinks as well, also one of those nice things you find everywhere in the States.

I love the tasteless restaurant design and pretty crap atmosphere but you need to know what to expect if you go here. Somehow the chain manages very well here in Australia to attract the same kind of obese white trash crowd as it does in the US: Very entertaining and great for studying low class suburbia.

The one good thing about Sizzlers is the service. The staff are very attentive to your needs and requests. However, less can be said about the food that is served. The steaks are tough and bland and the food served at the salad bar are very poor in quality. The prices are quite high for the quality of food you are receiving, would not recommend anyone to go here.

I only eat from the salad bar usually and find the standard of the food to be quite good really. For what it is I think they're doing a good job. The wait for a table on Fri-Sat can be quite long because it gets very busy and is popular with families, so be prepared or get there early!
