Love the food and the fast service with a smile. I have been here many times as I work just near by and never been disappointed by the quality.

Have been here a few times, pretty good Japanese, quite affordable and service is very friendly. Thought it was weird they used a blowtorch to cook the salmon though?

What a great little place, we came across it by chance & we love Japanese so we thought we'd give it a try, we ordered take away but will return for a dine-in meal, the fit-out is supercute too. We had the Tiger Roll which was freshly made to order & just delicious - the BBQ Beef & Teriyaki Chicken both were really tasty, and the teriyaki dish wasn't to syrupy which can happen is some places, this really is modern Japanese, we are looking forward to returning to try the other dishes on the menu with some plum wine.

I eat here weekly and the food is always really good. The prawn tempura is excellent, the rolls are great especially the chef's special rolls. The Bento boxes are really great. The only thing I would not advise is the Curry, which was really strange (rice and potato in the one bowl and meat on the side in another bowl?). Otherwise a good choice.

Booked this after reading reviews here as we were travelling from interstate. We weren't disappointed! A fantastic meal, great service and excellent value for money. We'll definitely be going again next time we're in Sydney.

I went with my girlfriend on a Thursday night and it was outstanding, not just sushi but delicious Japanesse food. We ordered the set menu and it was fantastic including the waiter explanation, the different flavours were really good, highly recommended, price-value great.

My boyfriend decided to go to Siorie because the reviews sounded pretty good and to be frank, we've eaten a lot of Japanese food. We went for dinner and had a slightly hard time finding it. The restaurant was dimly lit with candles (obviously to add to the atmosphere) and the tables were squeezed quite closely together.

The food was not amazing. The menu was fairly extensive and offered pictures that looked quite yummy and enticing. When the food came, we were quite disappointed. The portions were fairly small and looked completely different to the menu! The sushi was cut haphazardously like a 10 year old making sushi and the pieces were not evenly sized! The sushi also fell apart as we ate it.

We also decided to try the strawberry tempura as it sounded pretty interesting. We got deep fried strawberries with yummy vanilla ice-cream and chocolate. Unfortunately, the strawberries tasted slightly mouldy like they were off, but the ice-cream was yummy nonetheless. At any rate, won't be heading back here again!

Tried the set menu b for $50, and had a feast. The sushi and sashimi were excellent, the special rolls were delicious and the dessert was interesting, not something you can say often with Japanese restaurants. Funky little space under the same roof as another restaurant, although the floor seems to slope down, but not a worry. Staff were attentive. A good find for fresh Japanese.

Worst Japanese I've ever had. I used to come here regularly as it was close to my work but the last 2 times I've had it, it's been awful. The teriyaki beef had gristle, the miso soup was cold, and the sushi was warm. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and I got kingfish instead of tuna, and the sushi fell apart as there wasn't enough seaweed and the rice was still warm. On top of it all they're not even Japanese!

Very tasty and enjoyable Japanese food, and very affordable. The manager and head chef are awesome and extremely accommodating. I went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago with a group of 7. We ordered up a fair bit of food (starters and mains) at Siorie, then my friend wanted dessert from the italian restaurant next door.

To my surprise we were permitted to buy and eat the other restaurant's food at Siorie. To me that said a lot. Have been back since and they are always on top of their food and service. This is now my regular Japanese stop in Surry Hills. Highly recommend.
