Refuse to go to this place anymore, they are so pretentious! The final time I went there I stood at the counter being ignored (there was only 1 other customer in the place) when my order was eventually rudely taken, the barista looked at me like I was lucky he decided to serve me and then gave me my coffee in a t/a cup despite me saying I'd like to sit in! I felt so uncomfortable I left only to find out 5 minutes down the road he'd got my coffee order wrong anyway!

Spoke to my mate about this who said they had a similar experience won't go there now either due to the too cool for school attitude. Your good name for coffee does not precede your bad bad service.

Great coffee. Highly recommend it for coffee lovers. Food is also great, but menu can be a little limited as they have a small kitchen.

Mornings are really busy with people getting takeaway coffees but they have opened up a second takeaway only place next door that seems to have helped this along. Really great spot to relax.

For coffee lovers. I love that they don't charge extra for soy/decaf etc..very hipster/funkyish vibe, not really into the atmosphere.

Upon first sip, I found the coffee to be very bitter but as I kept going, it really grew on me and whether the coffee changed in flavour or it was me becoming accustomed to it, it was really amazing. Fantastic coffee, try it. Also get the pineapple pecan cake if they have it, that sounds strange but tastes heavenly and goes so well with coffee!

As the name suggests, Single Origin is all about coffee, and it that department, they nail the theme and offer a beautifully ambient experience.
They tend to be very business in the morning's and the wait can be quite off putting, but they have go some way toward alleviating this by recently opening their 'hole in the wall' section. I tend to avoid eating in, or ordering food, as it's too much of a thoroughfare and their food plays a poor second fiddle to their coffee.

For lovers of soy, I would also suggest checking with them on what soy they're using that day before ordering. Every now and then they seem to substitute the norm, and what is usually a beautiful coffee becomes indigestible.

Huh. Whenever a restaurant is hyped, the haters come out it seems. The last coffee I had here was the best I've had in weeks. It was simply incredible. Thought that the kedgeree was an interesting breakfast dish (colonial Indian) but didn't bowl me over. That coffee though brings the score up to a nine for food! Managed to get a table without a fuss, and we weren't rushed out. A nice little experience.

Excellent customer service. As usual I get a bit confused over the menu, but one of the waiters came over and explained to me what most things were and recommended some really nice food! It was also a really nice touch to have a glossary of terms at the back of the menu.
