I'm from Singapore so I know! Good Hainan chicken rice, ask for chicken breast if you're health conscious (John will happily oblige). Love the Nasi Lemak (not for the health conscious) but my occasional treat! Like others say, it's more a takeaway place so go for the food, not the ambience!

I've tried this place a few times. It's good value for the area but their dishes are hit or miss. eg. nasi goreng is excellent, but the chicken laksa is pretty bad. The 3 dishes + rice deal at lunchtime = a great meal (& cheap).

The food is great but this place is barely classified as a restaurant, it is more like a take away place, no service, no atmosphere whatsoever, but it is a great place to grab some cheap but yummy take aways.

Nasi Lamak ( Fridays ), Mee Goreng, Char Kiew Tew or even the daily Nasi Padang, all great! Singapore/Malaysia hawker fair right here in Darlinghurst. "Must try, lah!"
