Went here for breakfast .. I was actually ill within 10 minutes of eating the food. Inside was dirty with wires and dusty cheap ornaments.. Ordered breakfast which was canned mushrooms, thick fatty ham, and watery uncooked eggs. I had to use the bathroom - as I was immediately afflicted by the eggs, and found they hadn't been cleaned since 1964.. I won't be going back..
Came here for brekkie with my mum and - quite contrary to the other reviews here - we were generally very satisfied with the experience. I had the spanish omelette, and for around $8 it was huge, and really yummy with tomatoes, capsicum, olives, mushrooms, spanish onions and lots more, and came with a tasty side salad and potatoes.
My mocha was also very good coffee. It was a quiet morning, and the owner was so friendly - he gave us a sunny spot and chatted to us about anything and everything for over an hr while we enjoyed our meal. Despite all the negative reviews here, I think I'll be back to try dinner :)
Well... I wish I had read the reviews before booking this place for a party of five. After sitting in the drafty restaurant reading some very old menus then took our order. The brushchetta came on what looked like hamburger rolls. There was very little seafood or chicken in the various dishes we had. One of the mains was wrong on arrival and they seemed to think it was our fault. After having quite clearly indicating what we wanted. The next problem was the bill. They charged us for six mains and there were only five in the party. They then charged all items as main courses when two of them were entree size. They amended the bill and gave it back to us without so much as an apology. I sat there feeling so embarrassed because I booked the place. The whole experience was not good and I the staff failed to notice. There are a lot better Italian restaurants within a minutes walk. You have been warned.
To start off with the food was way too expensive for the size of the portion and quality of the food. The chicken I ordered was advertised as been served with proscuitto but instead seemed to come with cheap shoulder ham. The garlic bread was cooked on what looked like hamburger buns! The restaurant looked quite nice from outside but inside appeared poorly maintained. We were greeted immediately and the service wasn't too bad but once the food arrived it was downhill from there, hitting rock bottom when we recieved the bill.
Totally agree with the previous two reviews: this so called restaurant is a complete rip-off! Gives Glebe restaurants a bad name. The bbq squid was completely tasteless and had texture of sponge. The scallop pasta costs $19.50 and had only 4 frozen scallops with lots of pasta and didn't taste fresh at all. It could be forgiven if it was $6.00 but for that price, it's a con. Avoid it like a plague.
This could possibly be the worst restaurant in Sydney. The food was disgusting and of no value(BBQ prawns at $18.50 was four frozen prawns smothered in cold BBQ sauce).
