Took a group of 18 ppl there for my birthday on a friday night in January, and everyone of them raved about the place afterwards. The food is tasty and cooked well, the chefs were extremely funny and entertaining, the wait staff were very patient and helpful. Highly recommended!
Went there with a group of 13 friends and each one of us loved every second of it. The food was very nice, we had the combination set menu + wagu beef. And the chef was hilarious and made sure we all enjoyed ourselves. Food catching was pretty cool. Only thing average was the ambience, they could definitely do a bit more to the place.
Went on a wednesday night for a birthday. We ordered one of the set menus and took advantage of the free lobster offered on this site. The lobster was cooked really well (more tender than I had a few days later at a more up market restaurant). The rest of the food was good, but I wouldn't say spectacular. (But the price isn't spectacular either).
The restaurant is small and there are only two plates. It was well attended, but not over the top the night that we were there. The restaurant is BYO with a bottle shop conveniently located a couple of doors down.
Overall a pleasant night, the chef was personable (important for teppanyaki) and very good value. For 5 of us, the set menu + upgrade to wagyu beef + included free lobster + corkage + tip was $200. We didn't take the cheapest set menu either!
I went to this fantastic restaurant on Saturday. The food is really wonderful. The chef is very professional and entertaining. The service is quite well. The waitress is very beautiful. Highly recommended!
Went there on Tuesday and tried their "All you can eat" menu. It was very filling, after all ten courses or what not, I was pretty much stuffed. I didn't even eat their icecream. When the chef suggested we could do it all over again, I just chuckled.
The wagu beef was pretty good, my sis liked it. Everything else was pretty average. I was expecting some sashimi but it wasn't included in the menu. I did like their fried rice and I asked for a second serve.
The service was very good, the waiter was very attentive and the chef was somewhat entertaining. I was a bit disappointed when the chef said he wasn't from Japan but a Chinese. I guess that doesn't really matter but it made me wonder how authentic the food really is.
I may not go back again but I think it was an interesting experience and we had fun as a family. $50 per head was a bit pricey though. The restaurant itself is a casual place, so I wouldn't recommend it if you want to impress your first date.
The chinese chef at the teppanyaki was really fun and entertaining. We were there for my sister's 21st birthday dinner so it was really nice how he made her feel a little special by doing a few personalised tricks. Down side was that we had to share a table with total strangers (luckily they were really cool people but still, who wants to share a table with randoms on your big day?).
Food was pretty nice, but you only get a little measly serving for a big price tag. Ambience was not so good as the place was a lot smaller and unmodern than I thought. Meh.. it was ok fun but I'm sure there are definitely better teppanyaki places out there.
Excellent teppanyaki that's not overly pricey, definitely a good find on Oxford st. I was taking out two friends from overseas who had a great time. The food, service and atmosphere was great, I'll be back for more.
We came here for lunch with a large group of friends, and only 12 could be seated around the stove. Although some of us had to sit on the side, the chef still made sure they were well included in the entertainment and food-catching. He made the meal very pleasant and his cooking skills were definitely impressive. Not to mention all of us caught everything because he threw extremely accurately. All in all a great experience.
We had our sons 21st family dinner there what a fantastic night. The waitress was wonderful and couldn't have been more accommodating, food was delicious and a fun time had by all.
