I had my first Turkish Food exp at Shatto last week, (obviously besides kebabs and pide) and I was very very impressed.

The location of the place is a little far from me however easy to find, I originally found them off Google and Facebook.

Food was 10+. Ambience I did not pay much attention but I recall it rather clean and nicely decorated, a little dull though.

Service was good, one poor young fellow of a waiter was running around at the speed of light! Could do with another waitor/tress.

Value 10+ we paid $90 for 2 people, and we barely finished half the food! We asked to take most of it home because it was just delicious.

I tried the new Tapas Restaurant advertised on Radio with my partner over the weekend, the food was absolutely outstanding! Traditional Meatball Soup must be one of the greatest things I have tasted in a Long Long Time!

The Brazilian Dancers and Belly Dancers were 2nd to none, left with a great smile on our faces and we will definitely be back with family and friends.
Service was good, staff were friendly, however, they seemed a little understaffed, but that was no big deal as we enjoyed our time there.

The owner seemed to be a very friendly man and I hope the original approach to Turkish Tapas really works well, I have no complains.

Went there for a function. Food wasn't very appetising, it was a set menu of chicken and beef with rice, fries and mashed potatoes and some vegetables. It came with mayo, bbq sauce and another sauce all on the plate. My neighbour had 3! fries on the plate. Beside the food the service was terrible. No one came around to ask if we need more drinks, we had to go to the bar to get it ourselves.

The food got carried out mostly one plate at a time. Dirty dishes were at the table for a long time. When cake was served we got one plate of cake, no explanation why not more, till I asked after the waitress came back like 15 or 20 minutes later if she is going to serve the rest of us, when I was told there was no more cake left.

Coffee was again one cup, then the guy came with another cup, but no milk, before I could ask he turned around and I had to shout after him to get his attention to ask for milk, because I don't drink it without milk and I was not expecting him back before the coffee was going to be cold. He was a bit rude to me the next time he came and I heard from other tables that he was rude to them too, when they asked for a plate or something. I wouldn't book anything there because of the bad service and the food wasn't that great either. As my friend put it "you could eat the food - just.

I am Turkish and was very embarrassed that I actually thought of taking guests there!!! Big Mistake - Big!!!! The food was bland, the service well...lets just not go there ay! And it's a set menu (but no one tells you when you call to book - I think they think we all have a degree in osmosis!!!), so it's all you can eat mezze... 3 dip variety, cucumber/tomato/olives/honey dew melon/halal salami/bread rolls (These are served in small portions) apparently the main is roast chicken, vegies, rice - but I didn't stay long enough to comment on that. We left within 30mins (Yes that's how unbearable it was!!!!)

We went to leave after eating only 1/2 of our 1st plate of mezze and for 4 people a bill of $134 came Yes $134!!! Outrageous!!!! We didn't even eat much of what was on the table, they are my traditional dishes and that would have cost $15 max(being generous too ha!) Plus 2 beers at $7.50each that's all. Simply told the staff $50 was all he was getting thought I'd take into consideration preparation/staff (again being generous person I am).

But get this the set menu is $40 includes all you can eat mezze and 1 main plate as described above, but he wanted to charge us $30 per head for Mezze only (coz we left well before the mains that were due out at 9.30pm apparently) and $15 for 2 beers (that was the only reasonable thing if I had to pick 1). That $134 for 4 people for 30mins and not even $15 worth of food and poor service (no smiles here let me assure you!!!)

Highly highly highly not recommended!!! Real horrible - don't even waste your time driving there.... no matter how close you live!!!!!

Food is not good, but satisfing for value. Entertainment is great, service could not be beaten for price, Value is great its worth every dollar.

We were attracted by some Turkish friends from work and organised a group banquet. It was one of the most terrible dining experience we had. Food was cold & un appetising, and to top off the night we received a ridiculously overprised bill which the manager couldnt explain. Overall I wouldn't recommend it to my enemy.
