Seoul Ria was recommended by friends. I called and they took my booking, but there was really no point as their turnover was really quick. Thanks to the previous reviewers who mentioned the button system of getting staff attention and the bottomless side dishes, handy tips! We were there on NYE and it was quite busy. We ordered the seafood pancake, ok, the marinated beef (Bulgogi Beef), small serve, the ginseng chicken (where was the ginseng?) and the spicy chicken (it was in the same realm as sweet and sour pork, more sweet than spicy, misleading!).
Service was very efficient and friendly, it was like a race to see which staff member could get to your table first! There's an abundance of plasma screens there too (I don't know if they normally screen Korean movies, but they were set to local channels for the NYE celebrations). There's probably better options in Chinatown for the price and probably better Korean in Pitt St.

The service was good which is always what I look for in a good restaurant, the waiters + waitresses were efficient although the greetings could've been a little friendlier. Food was delicious, I wasn't planning on eating so much but once the food came out I found myself eating more until I felt ill. Atmosphere was enjoyable

Tasty food and good value for money. The few times I have come here, I have never faced any problem with service, as it was a Friday night, they had enough staff working the floor, so with the press of the buzzer our requests were met with a smile.
We ordered the dosoltbibimbup which we requested to mix ourself (otherwise they do it for you) and shared the spicy chicken. Everyone enjoyed the meal and walked out full and satisfied.

One of my favourite Korean restaurants. The japchae is one of the best I have tasted in Sydney. They are really generous on the side dishes, I always ask for refills everytime I dine here...yum, the seafood pancake is also nice. Pretty much everything I have tasted here has been good so far and service is fantastic.

Lots of waiters ensured attentive service, someone was always looking around to check if anybody needed anything. The food proportions are generous and the complimentary side dishes can be refilled whenever you want. A little noisy as it's like one big food hall but it was good value for money, we stuffed ourselves with $50 worth of food for two people.

Nothing like kimchi to soothe a karaoke ravaged throat. Stumbled in with a large group on a Friday night to feast on all things Korean. Finished all the complimentary side dishes before the main dishes came (that's not saying they were slow, we were just famished), the waitresses very obligingly gave us another serve and then delivered a beef hotpot, seafood pancake, japchae (potato noodles) and 2 katsu don (pork cutlet) rices.
The hotpot is some sort of occupational hazard, especially when some members of your group are feeling the almost inevitable aftermath of alcohol-fuelled karaoke. Very generous serve for $40, it went well with the japchae ($15) and the seafood pancake (also $15?). The seafood pancake was a little stingy on the filling but still crispy and nice. A good option for late night dining in the city.

I like the banchan dishes at this place - you get about 1-2 extra complimentary dishes compared to other Korean restaurants.
Korean bbq is probably not the best option here, as there is no charcol used in the cooking - you are given a gas stove and a hot plate so you miss out on the smoky flavour only obtained through charcoal Korean bbq. However the bbq is pretty decent in flavour and quantity, and $50 can feed 2-3 people with food leftover.
Service can be a bit slow but Seoul Ria is still a pretty decent place for Korean food in a spacious environment.

Nice place to get a quick Korean BBQ fix. Not the best quality food and very average service. Great to go to from time to time though, and with a bunch of friends.

Food here is great, really delicious Korean food. I went with a group of 8 and we came out absolutely full to the top for $35 a head including beers. Not cheap, but the food is really very good. Service is mega-efficient if you use the call button on the table to attract the waiters attention.
I highly recommend the Spicy Sour Fried Chicken. Also the Fried Kimchi and Tofu is tasty, and make sure you order a lot from the first section of the menu entitled Meat, the marinated scotch fillet is delicious.
