One Australian red, one Australian white - but compensates with an extensive list of Korean liquor.
I have been here a number of times and it never seems to disappoint. The free entrees at the beginning are wonderful so don't be shy and ask for seconds. I love the spicy chicken and the Bimbimbap is to die for. Having eaten in many different Korean restaurants over the years I can safely say this is one of the best both cost wise and taste.
Affordable and decent meals, open quite late for those who want a late-night meal or have come from after a night of partying. Service is friendly and fast, very busy on Friday and Saturday nights, buzzing atmosphere, there's always some korean shows on the plasma screens. All types of korean dishes, a few desserts (well, not anything fancy, there's a small freezer next to the counter where you pick what you want - ie something in plastic, and they put it in a cup for you). Soft drinks will be about $3 though.
I've been here quite a number of times over the past few years and have never been disappointed. There is a wide variety of Korean dishes to choose from and most are quite nice. The assortment and quantity of complimentary side dishes are also an added bonus.
It is generally quite lively but not so much as to impede on your time at the restaurant. All the tables are also fitted with a buzzer which when pressed brings a waiter to your table within seconds. All up, good food, excellent service, and above average value for money.
This place is always packed to the rafters on the weekend nights so either go early or book ahead. If not, line up and you should get your table in about 30 minutes.
The food here is above average. The choices are expansive so everyone's tastes are catered for. Service is very efficient as they have installed buttons on every table. Generally we pay roughly $20-30pp.
Also a good place to take your date, as I took my current gf here and she was impressed! Just make sure you order some Soju and Besekju (grape coloured soju). Recommended.
Best Korean restaurant in Sydney! Fast and excellent service. Food is great and good place for group dining. Although it is pricier than other Korean restaurants we go for good food.
The place offers authentic cuisine from the land of Korea. The prices are to be expected but if you have 4 or more people I recommend the banquet menu because you get enough dumplings, pancake, enough rice, salad etc to feed a crowd. Also try the Bimbimbap, I like to think of it as Asia's version of the Paella, rice mixed with beef and vegetables. very tasty at $13 but also available with cheese if you want. Also drink prices are to be expected it is like $3 for a can of Coca Cola.
The atmosphere is great especially how they have TV sets screening the Korean TV programs and service is fast especially with their buzzing system. IMHO highly recommended if you want traditional Korean with more than just typical Korean BBQ dishes.
I'll give credit to the price as it is good price for a whole lot of food, but that's because we were like 40 people and we had a banquet. The only thing that was stuck in my head is how big and enormously big the food servings were. As for the taste its common nothing special.
I've been going to Seoul Ria since my high school days and it's always a reliable place to go for good value food. I love their bachan and always ask for seconds. I'm pretty predictable so generally get the don katsu ($12) or teriyaki chicken ($13) or hot bibimbap ($13 I think). I wouldn't say it's the best korean you can get but it's pretty reliable when you can't think of anywhere else to go.
This place is the place to go if you are in a large group! its a good environment for this sort of thing!
I particularly enjoyed the spicy chicken! (around $25) and it is also quite large portioned compared to the spicy prawn! ($35)! much worthwhile to get the chicken but if you're craving prawns, go for it because its still delicious! and on the topic of value, the potato noodles are good! instead of large get the smaller one because in size it comes out almost like the large and so much cheaper!
Service is quick and friendly with their buzzing system. Seoul Ria has to be one of the best korean restaurants in Sydney. No wonder they're always busy!
