We love ordering home delivery from this place. However, today as we were driving past on the way home, we decided to go into the restaurant to order takeaway and we were thoroughly disappointed with the service. We were rudely told to 'wait a minute' at the counter before ordering. Then told the food would take about 15 minutes. After about 30 minutes of waiting, we got frustrated and walked up to the counter to see how our order was going.

The waiter quite carelessly walked over to the register and picked up our order that had been sitting there for who knows how long. He didn't even apologise for making us wait. We like the food but this experience has definitely put us off going there for good.

First time we visited this restaurant. There are a few thai restaurants in this area, this one is definitely worth a visit. Food is pretty standard dishes but done well and the service is happy and fast!

What a rip off! Thai beef salad consisted of four small pieces of beef over cooked, a handful of salad leaves, one cherry tomato and three slivers of onion, not a herb in sight and the tiny amount of sauce was inedible all that for $18.90. I have had larger entrees. Pad Thai was a good size serving, but was greasy and had no vegetables except onion. Previous owners did the best spring rolls, new spring rolls are not nice. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We have had take-away from here a couple of times now but I don't think will be coming back anytime time soon.

The food isn't too bad but I must admit for the price you have to pay you don't really get much food in the container at all with it being filled less than half way. The last time we ordered the meat wasn't even cooked properly which was a major disappointment. Until they can learn to give you your money's worth they have lost a customer.

They have changed management. Disappointed, ordered lunch (green curry, pad Thai). Meals came to table at disparate times, the pad thai tasted only of tomato sauce, they forgot the drinks we ordered and it took forever to gain attention of wait staff. Sadness. This used to be such a good place.

We have eaten here and ordered take away a lot. Every time we visit we have had excellent service whether its a big group or just the two of us. The staff have been very attentive and the food is amazing! We had one very minor issue with an order, but as soon as we bought it to the staff attention, not only was it fixed promptly, but we were given a free drink!

Went to this inviting looking place last night for the 1st time. Both my companion and I were impressed, the interior looks stylish and modern, the furniture is dark and solid looking, no plastic anywhere in sight, no seediness or cheap nasty tables and chairs that wobble. Quality and thought are evident in this place, including details such as cutlery and crockery, stylish and nice to hold, no gaudy 'Thai-inspired' cheap stuff.

The only thing that didn't agree with me was the height ratio of chair to the table, I am a short person and I felt like a child as the table top was almost at my chest height, a bit weird.

The service was friendly, not cloying or arrogant, gave us time to think and left us alone until we were ready and I called the waitress over. She was super-friendly, smiling genuinely, very nice to deal with. The food came out fairly quickly, and it was fragrant, fresh, flavoursome and beautiful to look at, we had Thai fried rice to share, lamb shanks and crispy skin duck. I love all 3 dishes and they were quite large so we had lots left over (we took it home).

The lamb shanks meat, although falling off the bone and seemingly cooked well, was a bit chewy but still good, I just think it was a bit dried out. We also had cocktails and asked for a plan mojitos even though they were not listed in the menu, but this was not an issue for the stuff. The mojitos lacked sweetness and were super tart, so I asked for some sugar syrup to be added and again, the man at the bar was very happy to help.

For dessert we had banana fritter to share, and it came with Messina coconut gelato, which lacked some sour notes to balance out the sweetness, so it was quite bland. But any place that serves Messina gelato with their desserts wins my votes. The pastry around the banana was crisp but the flavour was a bit oil-like, I would like it cooked more to produce a darker drier effect.

Overall, great experience with some minor issues. Would definitely go back.

With a selection of three thai restaurant with a few hundred meters, we usually go to our "usual". However, we met friends at season thai. I have to say the level of service really blew me away. The staff are so friendly and efficient.
We tried a few special dishes that were very tasty. Next we go out for thai, I think it will be at Season Thai.

Imagine our disappointment when a large group of friends went to dinner last night at one of our favourite North Shore restaurants, Season Thai Gordon, only to discover it has changed hands and menus. It has transformed in less than a couple of months from a family run restaurant serving excellent, quirky, modern delicious Thai dishes with a great value wine list to a corporately owned Thai restaurant serving mainstream Thai dishes that can be had in any of the other local Thai restaurants.

To add insult to injury, the wine list has increased in price by about 30% without any discernible increase in wine quality, and the service has degraded significantly. Half of our entrees were forgotten, as was our drinks order, which finally arrived after 70 minutes.

What a shame for one of the North Shore's best restaurants. The prices have increased overall by about 20% and the restaurant's costs would have greatly decreased based upon the new run-of-the-mill same-same menu. The big winner here (at least in the short term) will be the restaurant's new owners, who'll be laughing all the way to the bank. Now to find out where the old owners are re-starting.
