The food served is a very westernised version of 'Chinese' food. I gave it a 2, but only because the Pipis were quite nice. You could taste the MSG in the soup, we were charged for not drinking tea (??), and the dumplings were uncooked in the middle. Really not worth your money.

The restaurant was noisy, we had to wait half an hour for our booked table, and the waiters ignored us until we physically stood in front of them.

These guys have really got to do something quick about the level of service. We spent 40 minutes in yum cha there to be offered a total of 5 dishes. We eventually ended up taking stuff we didn't really want as we were so hungry. Must do better.

We went there on its 14/20 SMH good food guide reputation and let me say that it doesn't deserve it. Apart from its poor ambience the yum cha is appalling. The Chicken feet tasted bland and had a stale refrigerator aroma, the pork ribs were tough and boney, the bbq pork cheung fun (steamed rice rolls) were cold, tasteless (even with the soy sauce) and the bbq pork filling was old and stale, the har gow (prawn dumplings) were overwhelmed by the aroma of bamboo shoots. We also had steamed oysters with ginger and shallot but they too disappointed with the oysters steamed for too long and tasted floury. The dumpling were large in size but it's not a redeeming feature.

Grab a bowl of noodles over the other side of the road or yum cha elsewhere. Disappointing!

Our table were all charged the $1 "Cover Charge", despite declining the tea. Food is good, but not exceptional. For a One Hat restaurant I expected more. Staff were helpful.

The food here is ok, nothing outstanding. The only thing that is outstanding is the horrendous service and attitude of staff and management. Listen to "muka33". They charge for "not drinking tea". That's right, you don't want the tea so they charge you for not ordering it. We did give this place another try recently for yum cha though. We were seated upstairs and waited about 15 mins before walking out as not a single dish was offered. Absolutely disgusting. Do not support this place when there are so many other places which actually value providing great food and just a minimum level of service.

This place was crap. I'm Chinese and pretty fussy... but then again, this was way way below my standards. The service and setting was ok but the food was crap. We order pretty all types of dishes from beef, pork, crab etc... all of it was cooked poorly. Too salty, lacked aroma, lacked any flair whatsoever... and I doubt it was cheap (cause I didn't pay)... just go down to Yings on Pacific Hwy in the same suburb instead.

I'm not a great yum cha fan frankly but came with friends and enoyed it more than the Mandarin centre and loved that (despite being crowded) they made our kids feel welcome. The kids loved the fish tanks and spent the whole morning with their noses pressed against them.

Trully great seafood! Light sauces, little or no msg. One comes away feeling light and not heavy with Chinese food.

Beware! This restaurant will charge you whether or not you order Chinese Tea. The Manager claims it is a "cover charge" which is totally illegal. Who knows how else they try to cut corners. The Manager was also heard swearing behind my back (I understand Cantonese despite not looking Chinese in appearance). Better alternatives are Cheques, Manadrin Centre and Greenwood Plaza.

I agree with "heva" Greenwood Plaza Chinese yum cha is better. The best is no need to wait at Greenwood even at prime time. Sea Treasure yum cha is ok not too bad but just too crowded.
