A no frills, authentic Chinese noodle house. I was introduced to Seabay about 5 years ago and have been going on a monthly basis (sometimes more) ever since. I have since introduced other friends, and we always go to Seabay - it's now a bit of a tradition.

It's BYO, and handy enough there is a bottle shop 2 doors down with no corkage - absolutely unheard of in the CBD!

The dumplings are the best I've ever tasted (both inside and outside of Asia), which has been confirmed by Chinese friends. The noodles are handmade onsite and are very tasty, and the main dishes are all very tasty, authentic Chinese dishes. I especially love the steamed pork and vegetable dumplings and the stir fried eggplant main dish. Notable other mentions are the salt and pepper pork, the dumpling and noodle soup (enough to feed 2 people for 2 meals) and the pan fried dumplings.

The restaurant does get noisy, but what more could you want from an authentic noodle house? Going anytime between 6.30pm and 8.00pm, expect to line up, but we always ring ahead the same afternoon and reserve a table, and never have to wait - I highly recommend doing this, especially with a group.

All in all, my favourite quick bites restaurant in the CBD - excellent food, no corkage and quick service, all for under $25 a head (on an expensive night!).

Amazing Chinese at true value for money prices.

Pork and vegie fried dumplings are amazing and you get about 12, so there are plenty to go around. Handmade noodles are delicious and chewy and have the most unique taste. Pepper lamb noodles are also delicious.

They are BYO and don't charge corkage so bring along your wine or beer, but get in early to avoid the line up, or come a bit later on a miss the queue (8:30ish). Food normally comes out with only a short wait and service is never rude. It can be a bit loud in the restaurant when it's full, but that only adds to the atmosphere.

Have been going there for years and it never disappoints. It is a bit noisy but that only adds to the atmosphere as long as you not wanting a romantic getaway.

Yes, it's very good. It's a no-frills dumplings and noodle place basically, but it does what it does very well. The food is good, generous servings, very reasonably priced and the staff are very polite, cheerful and helpful. Good for a fun bite to eat with friends after work, can get a little bit noisy but not too bad. Highly recommended.

Group work lunch is always a treat here. Generous portions, fast service. We BYO some drinks, it's always a great time for everyone to share and try all the different dumplings. Definitely recommend the vegetarian pan fried dumplings and the deep fried pork.

We ring ahead and book and everyone happily sits down and we get stuck into the food. Can't recommend this place enough.

The food is excellent! Value - fantastic! The staff were courteous and polite and the service quick and efficient. The place itself gets very very busy for lunch and dinner, but they do take bookings, so plan ahead. It is also a BYO. Don't expect starched table cloths and polished silver cutlery :), but if you're up for a fantastic example of Northern Chinse cuisine and great value for money, this is the place.

This place is brilliant value. Servings are large. It is not the type of place you go for a romantic or intimate dinner, but is great for a snappy lunch with co-workers or a relaxed dinner with friends. The dumplings, pork buns and spring pancakes are second to none!

I had lunch at Sea Bay with two mates recently and it was dumplings all round! Well first we started with the stuffed pancakes which were huge and fresh stuffed full of noodles, veggies, mushroom and egg. Then came the dumplings- hot, fresh and with beautiful fillings, lovely textures, almost every ingredient was discernible, not a gluggy mish mash like some dumpling fillings can be. The place was packed, people sharing tables in typical hawker fashion. An excellent dumpling experience, wouldn't mind trying the noodles next time.
