Went there for Sunday breakfast. Staff attitude was appalling (including the owner). Poor service, coffee cups just dumped on to the table, served in cups still tasting of detergent.

Eggs Benedict was cold, Second diner requested muesli with yoghurt, but received fruit salad instead. Waited an age for service once initial order was taken, and was still charged full price. Do not make the mistake of taking a table here, wait for one to come up next door instead.

Terrible... Service reminded me of Fawlty Towers, and the food was very ordinary. All the seafood was frozen and not fresh. The seafood tasting platter was more like a rubber thong tasting platter. Fish and squid were both rubbery, very bland, and virtually inedible.

I'm a regular customer of Sea Bar, love it! When I visit, I see many other regulars there too.

Food is a little overpriced, but it is right across Dee Why Beach so there are good views. The area is a little small, but I've never had trouble finding a spare table when I visit. I generally go for brunch and have a risotto, big breakfast + the pancakes (delicious!) and share it with my boyfriend.

From my understanding, there has been a recent changeover of management/ staff, so there are less menu options/specials, but food is still excellent.

Food is very average, had breakfast was overcooked (the eggs), lunch had a salad and was not so great. These guys need a revamp on their menu I think change is good.

The food was superb & the staff very friendly with excellent service. The place is very small but it did not have one seat spare. Will definitely go back again.

Had breakfast here just the other day, really enjoyed the pancakes with strawberries and banana. Will probably come back here again.

Extremely disappointing. The seafood dippers as a starter were heavy with batter and served with an uninteresting sauce. Several items on the menu were not available and when we finally opted for the "special" surf 'n' turf, our steaks were not cooked to our liking, to the degree that the blue/extremely rare steak I asked for was overdone. We were told that the chef couldn't cook steaks rare! I did without a main course. Staff were mediocre.

I had a great experience at Sea Bar, the staff were lovely and the food and coffee was fantastic. Their coffee had the highest rating in the Manly Daily. Highly recommended.

I really did not enjoy my experience here at all and can only conclude that Sea Bar's success owes more to its location than its food or service (both of which are pretty bad).

My breakfast tasted terrible (I've never had scrambled eggs so salty) and my friend's order was incorrect and there was no apology or explanation offered for this at all. All the wait staff seemed to want to be elsewhere, and I suppose you can't really blame them with the beach opposite. All in all it was really disappointing, especially considering the range of options available on either side of it. My suggestion: when in Dee Why, go past Sea Bar.

If you want value for money and fresh food this is the place to go on Dee Why Beach. Its totally BYO so you won't get ripped off with $6 beer prices. The menu is varied and try the Jumbo prawns. They are to die for. I visit this restaurant with my wife usually twice a month and walk out of there spending no more than $70. Try and do this at Sea Le Vie up the road and you will need an armoured car behind you.
